▪️That Direct was made for ME (…at least the last 10 minutes of it). Overall looking back at everything I’m fairly satisfied with what we got. Like yeah, Ravenous was already leaked but Kirby was such a surprise! I was hoping that Trails 2nd chapter would at least make a sizzle reel appearance but Falcom just don’t got that money maybe 💔 (or maybe they just gave up and aren’t gonna try to pry attention away from FE which like… is kinda depressing but whatevs). It was gross seeing Level 5 and their apparent AI slop-ness, and overall the pacing was kinda horrid. I don’t understand why they’ve forgotten to like, open their Directs strong because that never used to be a problem but whatever ig?? Also MYTHRA KID MYTHRA KID.

▪️So wowie, what an absolutely stellar Direct! Still can hardly believe we’re getting a new M&L game after I was almost sure the series was done for after Alphadream’s closer. Prime 4 also looks SO GOOD, and a lot of the other announcements looked great too. by @twilightridley

▪️Me unboxing another Switch OLED, in MULTIPLE parts! So yeah, I kinda forgot how Snapchat video worked for a minute, but I just wanted to quickly get this out there before doing other stuff tonight (which is mostly… nothing probably). This could’ve gone on my personal but I honestly don’t really care that much at this point

▪️WHAT A DAY! On top of the 2nd Mario movie just being announced out of (seemingly) nowhere, we get surprise announcements for TTYD release date, as well as LM2 and a couple NSO games. I’m honestly so happy with what we’ve gotten today, and this definitely continues the trend of Mario fans eating absolutely spectacularly. TTYD especially comes out at such a perfect time for me. What are your guy’s thoughts? by @twilightridley

So a new Legends game was just announced, which is called “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”. YES. WE’RE FINALLY GETTING Z UNIRONICALLY! AND MEGAS ARE BACK!!!! Kalos getting some much needed expanded content is so satisfying to me. I’ve wanted this since I was a kid. How are you guys feeling about this? by @twilightridley

▪️Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while (again) but I wanted to quickly share my thoughts on Thursday’s Direct before eventually talking more about this on my story. Anyway, that Direct was pretty ok. There were some nice little surprises but up until the 35 minute mark I was ready to kinda just write off the Direct as being mediocre and moving on.
But then… it happened. Something extraordinary happened that might go down as one of the most jaw dropping moments of any Nintendo Direct ever. Against all the odds, years of mistreatment, and Mario RPG remake not even being OUT yet, it happened. A fully fledged remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I’m still so giddy just thinking about this announcement. It looks like they’ve done basically everything write. I’m so beyond excited to see a game that I love so much and sparked so much imagination in me when I was younger be brought back for the modern age. It’s like I almost feel a weight finally being lifted off me. I’m so so happy and I don’t think I can express that enough. I don’t know how to properly end this now, but just know that i’m so happy. I don’t think I’ve felt this excited for something in a long time.

▪️And just like that, another Nintendo Direct is upon us (thankfully)! I wasn’t really anticipating getting a February Direct at all tbh. Obviously I’m definitely looking forward to the potential announcements but my expectations aren’t super high. I’m fairly content with the games I’m planning to play in the near future anyway. I would definitely appreciate some Prime 4 though 👀. What predictions do you guys have (if any)?

▪️Happy New Year’s everyone! I’m gonna be honestly, 2022 was kinda all over the place for me. So many genuinely cool things happened this year, from graduating high school, starting college full time, meeting tons of new people, and lots more. I’ve even (hopefully) finally returning to somewhat regularly posting on here again which I’ve been trying to do for almost two whole years now (my god where has that time gone 💀). There’s a lot I’m still unhappy with about myself regarding my mental health and lack of making any real content for the most part (stuff like reading more, writing, learning how to edit stuff better, barely playing through that many games this year, among other interests of mine).
This year has not been easy, not by a long shot. However, I feel like I’m in the right space to improve myself in 2023 in ways I’ve always wanted to. 2022 was more of a transitional year anyway so I hope things go smoother in 2023. All I can do is keep moving forward I guess. I still doubt myself a bit even now but as long as I stick with it for once I think I’ll be fine. I’m hoping I at least come out of 2023 feeling like it wasn’t a complete waste of time. Anyways I hope you guys all take care out there! by @twilightridley

▪️I hope everyone’s having a very Merry Christmas this year 🎄!

This year our family’s basically been stuck at home due to all of the snow + a bunch of my family getting sick with Covid and all of our Christmas parties getting pushed back as a result. So kinda lame overall but it’s at least less stressful in a way. If anything it’s a good excuse to continue catching up on my never-ending backlog. I did get a ton of good goodies though, a highlight being the PS5 (which I did buy with my own money but I thought it’d be funny to still wrap it to see my family’s reaction). Also finally getting FF7R is a dream come true since I’ve been waiting since the game came out to play it. Overall I’ve had a lot of fun with my immediate family so far and I hope all of you guys are too! by @twilightridley
