Some people view loc extensions as cheating the journey, as if your hair stops growing, forming, and maturing into locs of its own. Almost like there’s a badge of honor in feeling less confident about your appearance before you’ve earned the right to enjoy your hair. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with starting your locs traditionally and embracing every stage of the process. But there’s also nothing wrong with wanting to feel beautiful and confident from day one. Look at her locs three years later, beautiful, mature natural locs that have grown and blended seamlessly with the extensions, because your loc journey should be measured by how much you love your hair, not how you started. My locs through the months! I put these in… well finished them around January 21st and here we are 9 months Loc’d in! They have aged so beautifully, the texture truly did its thing around June and July months 5 and 6. Typically I would take them out around 5-6 months but I was in love with the texture and could not remove them. Here we are in month 9 and I’m still in love, but I fear the journey is ending soon. I don’t think I can commit to permanent locs just yet. This has been the easiest 9 months with my hair, ever and that also makes it hard for me to want to remove them. Stay tuned and shout out to the stylist that are able to switch their hair up often, I need a short term long term style lol. Baby, it’s true! Loc extensions are one of those services where trying to save money can get expensive fast… especially if you start them with the wrong person. Save on the length. Keep the color simple. Adjust the loc count when your density allows. But don’t cut corners on skill. The foundation, attachment, sizing, blending, and hair quality are what determine how your locs wear and age. Save where you can, but expect to invest in something you want to last for years. by @twistandknot_
I meet so many ladies that say they’ve been thinking about locs for years, just curious as to what’s been stopping you. Tell me what’s your hesitation in the comments! How long would you keep your loc extensions in? I’m almost 10 months in with mine. Many people choose loc extensions to jump-start their loc journey. Since 2022, I’ve started so many loc journeys and loved watching how each set changes over time. Some keep their extensions in. Others cut them off and continue growing their natural locs, or add curls to the ends. How long do you think you’d keep yours? And 2–3 years from now, would you keep the extensions, go natural, or add curls? Tell me in the comments! by @twistandknot_

My girl said get these curls off of me! 🥹😂 Lol No problem! I love them either way! She came back and I locked her curls all the way down to the ends leaving a little bit of curl. If you want mini curls like this let me know during the consultation.
