Tex is a 4-year-old Draft Cross Gelding out of Texas. This boy is not only a eye-catcher but he is also a one in a million kind of horse. Tex has spent the past 2 years as our ranch’s top performance roping horse. This handsome gelding is a finished head and heel horse, he is trustworthy on the trails, has experience with mounted shooting and the kids love to ride him around the yard! He loves to learn and would make an outstanding partner for any rider!

Follow the YouTube link in bio to see him in action!

Rodeo night at Rafter 4T Rodeo Company last weekend!

Might not have come home with the win but always a good time at the rodeo with great people!

This closed out the 2026 rodeo season for us, but there is still the possibility of a few sorting and trail challenges during the winter!

This OTTB would not get into a trailer when he was first purchased by his owners, it took them over an hour and he hasn’t been trailered again until today. 5 minutes of trust and patience with this gelding changed that.

You can’t rush the process, skip the hard days, or fake the effort. Keep showing up. The results speak for themselves.

Elisha has been busy on the ranch working with one of our newer cow ponies in training and also training a new client horse to have respect for its rider/owner and understanding boundaries within that relationship!

Introducing Betty Lou (Brown) and Daisy (Black) our Longhorn heifers!

These spunky ladies are our starter heifers to our dream of having a Longhorn herd of our own in the future!

🐮Fun Fact: Longhorns are well known for their big horns that can span over 10 feet from tip to tip, but what most people don’t know is that their horns serve as radiators or a cooling system for their body! Blood flows through them to help release body heat in hot weather!
