Water is the number one ingredient for a wash and go! Set your wash and go under a dryer to reduce shrinkage and to actually set the set the style!

I’m a healthy hair stylist first! Your hair will not be its healthiest without trimming your ends. My clients who have been riding with me for a while understand why and have seen the results first hand. If you’re mentioning a trim to your stylist and they’re always brushing you off telling you no, your ends look fine, get you another stylist! Trimmed ends help your detangling process to be smoother and less time consuming and length retention!

Twist out poppin FR FR! Here’s a few steps to make sure your twist-out is poppin too! Start on fresh, clean hair. A twist-out can be accomplished on wet/dry hair. It’s all about your preference. I prefer to use a foam for my twists. I use a stronger holding foam (coconut milk styling foam) when I’m dealing with humidity so my twist-out won’t go poof as soon as I go outside. I use a medium hold foam when it’s not to hot out and volume is the goal (rosemary styling foam). Although you can allow your twist out to dry completely under a hooded dryer, for best results I like to wear my flat twists for at least 48 hours before unraveling. This allows them set better, you know? It’s like marinating your meat as opposed to seasoning and cooking right away. 😉 Your twists MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY or your set will be frizzy! Period! Majority of people will not dry completely over night which is why I prefer 48 hours. Use a serum on your finger tips on the take down and take your time to avoid frizz. I like to fluff a little at the roots with a pick, shake and ✌🏾. Are you having trouble with your twist outs? Taking your time when detangling is key for length retention because rushing causes unnecessary breakage. Every tug, snag, and rip shortens the hair you’ve already grown. Gentle, patient detangling preserves your ends, keeps your strands healthy, and allows your hair to actually show the length you’ve worked so hard to grow.
