Calva Louise
Lo Que Vale
2025
Produced by Gareth McGrillen & Mazare
@calvalouise
@jessallanic
@garethmcgrillen

POV: You think you finally understand something — and you're completely wrong about it. Everything looks upside down, and maybe that's exactly the moment it isn't. The confusion isn't the problem. The attachment to being right is. 🌑

"Lo Que Vale" sings entirely in Spanish, a tribute to Jess Allanic's Venezuelan roots, over a collision of Latin melody, metal weight and electronic texture that shouldn't work and completely does. 🌪

Co-produced with Pendulum's Gareth McGrillen and Mazare, from the album "Edge of the Abyss." Allanic writes it, sings it, and directs and builds the VFX for the video herself. A band from opposite corners of the world, building their own universe from scratch. 💎

Erick Hervé feat. ToteKing
Fo Da Roots
2017
Produced by Yeke Boy
@erickherve
@toteking
@yekeboy
@djrosvil

POV: Spain, 2017. A Valencian duo calls in the most respected MC in the south for one verse. Nobody is chasing a trend. Nobody is chasing a playlist. The whole track is a line in the sand about what the culture is supposed to be. 🌑

"Fo Da Roots" is the centerpiece of "M.O.M," the joint album from Erick Hervé and Yeke Boy. The hook says it plainly: fighting for freedom, fighting for the roots. Craft and track record over hype that evaporates. 🌪

Produced by Yeke Boy with cuts from DJ Rosvil, and carried by ToteKing — long considered one of the finest lyricists Spanish rap has ever produced. Pure boom bap purism, built by people with nothing to prove and everything to defend. 📼

OneSideZero
Eight
2001
Produced by Jim Wirt & David Bottrill
@onesidezero
@jimwirt

POV: Los Angeles, 2001. Five guys with three guitarists build a record so dense and moody it needs the man who produced Incubus and the man who mixed Tool just to contain it. The label barely pushes it. They ask to be let out of their own contract. 🌪

"Eight" is buried deep on "Is This Room Getting Smaller?" — the debut VH1 would later name one of the twelve most underrated nu metal albums ever made. Jasan Radford's bottom-of-the-gut voice over a wall of echoing guitars. 🌑

Produced by Jim Wirt and mixed by David Bottrill, the track is all atmosphere and restraint — heavier in mood than in volume. A band that toured with Incubus, Sevendust and Static-X, then quietly disappeared. The kind of record that finds you twenty years late. 📼

Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean
Hips Don’t Lie
2006
Produced by Jerry Duplessis, Shakira & Wyclef Jean
@shakira
@wyclefjean
@jerrywonda

POV: 2006. An album is underperforming. A label makes a desperate call to a producer, asking him to resurrect a song nobody heard, from a film nobody watched. Six months later it's number one in fifty-five countries. 🌪

"Hips Don't Lie" began life as "Dance Like This," a Wyclef Jean track buried in a flop soundtrack in 2004. Its trumpet hook traces back further still — to Jerry Rivera's 1992 salsa classic. A fourteen-year chain of second chances. 💎

Produced by Shakira with Wyclef Jean and Jerry "Wonder" Duplessis. Shakira has said the title came from how she knows a song is finished: the moment her hips start moving on their own in the studio. Her body always knew before she did. 🌑

The Warning
Bite My Tongue
2026
Produced by Anton DeLost
@thewarningband
@antondelost

POV: Monterrey, 2026. Three sisters who have spent a decade proving they belong walk into a room at home and record the sound of everything they've swallowed to keep the peace. Then they stop swallowing it. 🌪

"Bite My Tongue" sits at the center of "Everything's Falling," The Warning's fifth album. It cuts straight at being underestimated, at industry expectations, and at the specific boxes the music world builds for women. 🌑

Produced by longtime collaborator Anton DeLost and tracked in their hometown, it lands between driving modern rock and sleek alternative-pop. Daniela commanding on vocals, Paulina relentless behind the kit, Alejandra anchoring the whole thing. Their tightest, most deliberate record yet. 📼

Fabolous feat. Ryan Leslie & Keri Hilson
Everything, Everyday, Everywhere
2009
Produced by Ryan Leslie
@myfabolouslife
@ryanleslie
@kerihilson

POV: A packed club in 2009. The bassline drops, the room tilts, and for four minutes everybody in it genuinely believes they're the most important person on earth. That was the whole point. 💎

"Everything, Everyday, Everywhere" is the third single from "Loso's Way" — Fabolous's Carlito's Way-inspired fifth album, which came packaged with its own 33-minute short film. Brooklyn swagger at its most polished. 🌪

Produced, co-written and performed on by Ryan Leslie, with Keri Hilson delivering one of the most effortless hooks of the year. The video is a who's-who of the era — Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Amerie, Ace Hood — all crammed into one club. Pure late-2000s excess, executed perfectly. 🌑
