One year ago, on this very day, our life changed forever. On July 30, 2024 the vet diagnosed Larry with end stage renal failure and recommended euthanasia as it’s a fatal condition. We were devastated. He had just turned 4 less than 2 weeks before.

After a day of heavy research, I took Larry to the hospital with a plan. I would do whatever I could to give him the chance to fight, if that was what he wanted. He was admitted through the ER and began receiving treatment to save his life. The vets were not hopeful, but Larry was set on showing that miracles can happen.

Today, July 20, 2025 Larry is thriving while living with Stage 3 CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease). He receives daily fluids and prescription food to maintain kidney function and is a playful and happy boy. He is a #ckdwarrior and showing that kidney failure will not stop him. He is proof that it is possible to live a good quality life with CKD—you just have to have Hope.

Hi! I’m Norie Evangeline and this is my Rescue Story. In October 2021, I was found wandering on the streets-matted, sick and full of fleas. I was found and brought to my local animal shelter, where I was cared for until I found my furrever family. Now, I’m a spoiled little Diva who’s become a fashion model, dog influencer and animal activist. The power of Love transformed me and I’m now living my best life!

February is the month of Love and we are joining @a_dog_named_lettuce @communitypet @knoxdogwear and @thefosterdogtales in celebrating the #lovelikearescuedog event!

Remember, you can’t buy Love, but you can rescue it!
❤️❤️❤️
