I wanted to have this sweater ready (my first baby sweater) before Christmas. But nothing ever goes as planned. 100 reasons why other things got in the way.

I also had to get creative, as the brown yarn was finishing up much quicker than I had thought (this being a stash cleanup project). So I grabbed the skein with the yoke-color and made a blurry transition in a snowy, random pattern, because I don't know how to calculate a repetition of the yoke with more stitches.

And truly, I love how it is turning out. ❤️

But now I have to frog in order to get the increases BEFORE the sleeve-division and not after. How did I ever think that I would get away with such a mistake. The body became wide as a dress! And the mental devastating frog-decision had to be made. 😅

So frogging it is! 😥

I am still avoiding doing the steeks. But the sweater HAS to be ready for Christmas. And the pepparkakshus (gingerbread-cottage) isn't finished either (I got out of steam after 6 hours of work on the dough, design and the sugar glaze). Still windows, door and walls left to be decorated.😅

Dragging my winter knitting for my old man along, practically everywhere.
Happy to finally have finished knitting the 1-col. stockinette body on 3 mm needles that seemed to be dragging on for ages to complete.
Now finally seeing progress at every round of the yoke which puts me in a better mood. ;)
I love it, but it is a true labour of love. 😅

Pattern: Järbo 92600 (free download)

Yarn: Fryd 100% pure new wool, color. 601 (slate grey) and 603 (warm white)

🍂💜 Ein Anfang in Flieder 💜🍂

Der Herbst malt die Welt gerade in Rostrot, Gold und Orange – und mitten hinein habe ich ein kleines Stück Flieder gesetzt.
Ein Rucksack entsteht, Masche für Masche, aus weichem Baumwollgarn 🧶, dem Creative Cotton Dk von @wolleroedel .

Noch bin ich ganz am Anfang – der Boden ist fertig, und jedes Mal, wenn sich der Faden so leicht von meinem Garnhalter abwickelt, bin ich einfach dankbar für diese kleine Hilfe. ✨
Dieses unscheinbare Werkzeug hat mir schon so viele Projekte erleichtert: rostfrei, stabil und mit jedem Knäuel kompatibel – ich möchte ihn nicht mehr missen. (👉 @twizztersizzters ).

Neben mir liegt das Anleitungsheft 📖 – zwölf It-Pieces warten darauf, ausprobiert zu werden. Schon jetzt schiele ich auf den Pulli und den Cardigan… aber zuerst wächst dieser Rucksack. 🎒

Ich liebe diesen Moment: wenn ein Projekt noch am Anfang steht, wenn alles voller Möglichkeiten steckt, wenn man ahnt, wie schön es einmal wird – und gleichzeitig den Weg dorthin genießen darf.
Herbst, ich bin bereit für deine Spaziergänge, und mein Rucksack wird mich begleiten, wenn er fertig ist. 🍁☀️

A WIP that has haunted me for a VERY long time, even though the colors are FAB! Only 2/3 of the second sleeve is left, but somehow there was always other things to be done and it remained in the project bag, hidden, like a bad conscience. Guilt. Me being too lazy.

Summer holidays are over and work has to be done. So I'm done procastinating. Time to finally wear it. 💪😅
