Huge congratulations to Phoebe and Josh who married yesterday and celebrated at the wonderful @theblackfriarsalford.

They opted for a long table style cake for their wedding cake, and when I saw the absolutely STUNNING florals from the amazing @thebudandpot there was no way I wasn’t going all out.

I absolutely adore how this turned out. Pears, figs, grapes and flowers. Totally dreamy. Worked so well with their outside terrace vibe!

Smashing cake flavours too:

🍃 Vanilla, elderflower and strawberry prosecco compote.
🍃 Lemon and passionfruit
🍃 Chocolate and Hazelnut Praline

ITS BEEN A HOT MINUTE!

I think it’s time I reintroduce myself.

Having worked my whole career in pharmaceutical sales, after graduating from university with the most irrelevant MSc in Equine Science and Business Management, I knew I was done.

My two boys brought about a perspective like no other. One where time with them felt more precious than anything. They unearthed a side of me I didn’t know existed. It took a long time, but I found a version of me that would only show itself after I let go of the relentless pursuit of financial reward.

A creative side emerged from nowhere but a love of baking and all things food has been a constant for as long as I can remember.

So here I am. Realising life is short, living the dream, working with incredible customers, bringing edible art to life.

The most genuine feeling I have is that it’s a true honour to be chosen to celebrate someone’s special day. Whether a cake for your wedding day, a special birthday cake or a load of beautiful desserts for your dinner party. I never take it for granted.

I’m not chasing volume orders, rather connection with my customers. An opportunity to create for gorgeous people while feeding my soul.

Always learning, always stressing that you’re not going to like it, absolutely confident I’m in the right place at the right time!

She’s called KATE and isn’t she a beauty.

I absolutely loved making this wedding cake. Using fondant to create a material like texture. Ribbon like drapes giving movement and flow, creating a super modern yet couture wedding cake.

She’s a statement. She’s elegant and she’s super stylish, perfect for the modern and stylish couple.

She works anywhere. A lovely cosy barn like this here at @stockfarmbarn or imagine her pride of place in a super bright, orangery style venue, surrounded by greenery. Pure sophistication.

When choosing your wedding cake design, think out of the box, be different to everyone else. Make it a forever memory and a talking point for all your guests.

We haven’t seen the last of ruffle cakes yet.

Hannah and Robert - 04-09-26

Congratulations to Hannah and Rob who married yesterday at @holmesmill_.

As autumn rolls around their wedding colour scheme was the perfect transition through seasons. We incorporated soft peach and olive green with beautiful autumnal burnt orange into the design of their wedding cake.

The first two photographs were taken at home before I added the gorgeous flowers from @hannahelizabethflowers. SWIPE to see the finished cake in situ against the gorgeous red brick wall.

You two!!! What a joy, from start to finish.

@joshua_gooding these photos are absolutely gorgeous.

If I told you this couple had a bit of a stressful time, it wasn’t ideal, with the baker due to make their pavlova closing down weeks before their wedding.

I believe in fate, a giant tiramisu was what they wanted in the beginning but couldn’t find someone to do it!

Thank you both. I’m glad you found me and I’m delighted you chose me to create this tiramisu for you.

Congratulations to Kate and Alex who married yesterday at @merrydalemanor.

Their entire wedding vibe was white, so we matched the cake with a clean white ganache finish and added some trailing leaf stencil detail to give the cake some depth.

3 tiers, 3 flavours, to feed 100 people.

Chocolate with hazelnut praline.
Lemon with homemade lemon curd
Vanilla and strawberry.

You can feel the pure joy and it’s all just so stylish.

JONNY & STEVE commissioned their own piece of abstract art for their wedding cake yesterday and I need to know. Did I deliver?

Not everything needs to make sense but nothing makes more sense to me than creating something so original and bespoke for a couple on their big day.

For J & M who married yesterday at Larkspur Lodge in Knutsford.

I’m going to tell you that the last week was the toughest of my caking career to date.

Struggling to create in the way I love, with the attention to detail that’s so important for me challenged me in ways I wasn’t expecting.

I did everything I could to mitigate the impact of the unbelievable weather we had but without an air conditioned kitchen I was limited.

Imagine this. Did you take anything at all out the fridge last week and immediately feel the condensation on it? A bottle of water, a piece of fruit?

Well that’s what it was like with my cakes. Within 20 seconds of bringing the cakes out of the fridge they were covered in condensation. Sticky and completely unable to be handled. Imagine then trying to stack and decorate them. Layered with the desire to create something show stopping and memorable.

I can say that honestly I wouldn’t wish for another week like that.

It’s also a conversation I need to have with my couples moving forward. I need flexibility to be able to redesign. Honestly, if you were the bride how would you feel about that?

The detail, emotion and joy captured in these stunning photographs by the talented @oliviajmorganweddings is unreal.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing all the photos captured and boy they are special! Thank you so much for sharing with me and allowing me to share.

Tash & Cam opted for a vintage style wedding cake which suited their venue @arleyhallweddings perfectly.

We had a bespoke stencil made to include a floral design with some beautiful insects and their initials. Delicate, sophisticated and all theirs.

WEDDING CAKES CAN BE ANYTHING YOU LIKE!

I’m so bored of seeing bang average wedding cakes.

Show me your personality. Show me your style. Come at me with something original, unique. I want to hear someone ask “is that the cake?”.

I want them to be asking because it’s more like art. I want them asking in wonderment, in total disbelief.

If your guests walk straight past your cake without giving it a second thought, in my opinion you’ve wasted your money!

Are you here for bang average or are you looking for a cake that people will remember?

This cake matches the ruffles on her veil so perfectly.

White on white, to complement the green and white florals, with insane texture, created using wafer paper.
