Always a pleasure when ya can get a not so avid hiker to do a technical hike and scramble up to 11,000ft in the dark.
Pitch a cowboy camp under the stars and then wake up and teach your best friend to fly fish for the first time and watch him land his first cutty

Despite some rain and a cold north wind coming down from Hudson Bay that turned the water cold and put a hold on the sucker spawn.
The fishing in Quebec was an experience I’ll never forget, I have a ton more pictures and story’s to tell but measuring out at 40in this Northern is considered good but still small for this French dominate speaking region. The walls of the cabin we stayed in was inscribed -some in English most in French- with records of 50-60in fish.
I got to see the far away bush camp one of my dearest uncles grew up in, I regretted not learning more French but marveled in the people, the fish, the stories and the land of this part of the world.

My dad
This trip each summer isn’t possible without him. He’s the one that originally got intel on this lake and he continually invests in gear towards getting us there. From a new can am, to a new inflatable raft, to his Peach Crown and Ginger Ale recipe, to all of the rockstar camp cooking and to the Wyoming dog by his side. He’s the real mvp of the trip, love ya dad

Something about sunsets and unedited photos just go hand in hand-like a smoke and a cold drink- a rod and a fish-a sharp arrow and the bugle of a bull- the sun and the water-a boat and the hum of engine-the hopes of a screaming drag and the snap of a broken line. All perfectly coming together with our and our gods creations. It’s timeless, everytime-100% of the time 🍻
