Day 3 at #FNCE: my heart is so full. 💚

We started at our booth in the Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) — a steady stream of visitors all day: TWU alumni, current students, and prerequisite students exploring our program. Booth 665 was the place to be!

Then a legislative update with the Academy's policy team — where things stand with federal legislation, how the Academy is supporting the work, and the role of our contracted lobbyists. 📜

A highlight: introducing my students to Academy President Tammy Randall — Morgan Oubre, Caroline O'Driscoll, and Michelle Kiernan. ✨

Then the Unilever Wellbeing Collective roundtable: a room full of influential, communications-savvy dietitians who own private practices and communications businesses — the full toolbox for a well-rounded, credentialed professional, all at one table. 💬

Plus time with our people at the posters: Caroline (graduating!), Ella and Annaliese — who just started the program and graduate December 2028 — and Mary Dutta, one of our wonderful preceptors, presenting her culinary medicine work with Harris Health. 📊

Steady. Evidence-Driven. Engaged.

Day 2 at #FNCE did not slow down. 💛

Started with the NDEP breakfast and roundtable — learning and brainstorming with my fellow program directors, the people who just get it. ☕

Then the expo hall: connected with Derek, and ran into the wonderful Dana — @danajfnutrition @dieteticswithdana ✨

From there, a policy session that filled my cup: From Policy to Practice with ACEND Executive Director Dr. Rayane AbuSabha, the Academy's Interim Chief Communications, Marketing and Membership Officer Stephanie Kowalski, and Academy President Tammy Randall — talking policy across dietetics practice and education.

Then I had the honor of moderating Why Facts Fail and What Dietitians Can Do About It with Derek, Ariana, and Stephen. 🎤

Straight to the NDEP Dietetic Supervised Practice Program (DSPP) Fair, where I hosted our table and met prospective students — hi, future RDs! 👋

And the best part? My sweet students showed up and showed out. I am so proud of them. 💚

Closed the night with dinner alongside amazing colleagues and new friends. My heart (and my brain) are full.

Steady. Evidence-Driven. Engaged.

Our interns have been busy! Nutrition is a vast field, and this is just a small piece of all that our RD2Be’s have been doing during their internship. The opportunities they’ve had to connect with patients, see complex cases and use their clinical knowledge has set them up to be wonderful dietitians. We are so excited to see them graduate in December! 🥳 #dieteticintern #registereddietitian @eat_right_texas @texasdieteticstudents @twuhouston by @twunfshouston

🍂 TWU Houston is on the road!

Today we’re at LSU connecting with future nutrition and dietetics professionals and sharing what’s ahead at the Texas Woman’s University–Houston Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (GPND).

Our new graduate program combines rigorous coursework with supervised practice experiences throughout the curriculum, preparing future RDNs for practice, leadership, and the evolving needs of our profession.

It’s always a great day when we get to talk with students about where a career in nutrition and dietetics can take them. ❤️
