It was always the hypnotoad!🐸

I’m excited to announce that I’ve committed to TCU to continue my academic and baseball career!

Thank you to God, my family, coaches, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I wouldn’t be here without you. And especially my dad, I know he’s watching over me and would be proud.

Grateful for this opportunity and ready for what’s next.

Not bad of a snag!… ‘27 Matthew Hernandez (@tx.matthew_) goes 2.0 shutout at @areacodebaseball striking out 4. The RHP was up to 94 MPH showing the ability to manipulate the ball well. Whippy arm created good shape on the FB, flashed a solid slider at 79-82 MPH and hard changeup at 86-89 MPH. Got squeezed a little, but moved on quickly and continued to make pitches through 2 scoreless innings. • 6-3, 205 lbs. • Paschal (TX) 2027 #uncommitted #DudeAlert #baseball taken in Long Beach, California by @tx.matthew_

😤 Pitching with passion. Matthew Hernandez (@tx.matthew_) was up to 93 MPH in his last outing in front of @fivetooltexas. The RHP struck out 9 with two hits and one earned showcasing a slider at 81-83 MPH and change up at 83-85 MPH. Strike thrower and has some feel-to-pitch with execution and can miss bats. At times, his slider had some late, tight bite that led to some ugly whiffs and his changeup, which at times had a hint of splitter-like tumble, was thrown for a strike against lefties at a sold rate and also collected some whiffs. A good competitor who stays within himself confidently and passionately. Comes in at No. 28 on the recently updated Five Tool Texas 55. • 6-2, 190 lbs. • Pashcal (TX) 2027 #uncommitted #DudeAlert #baseball taken in Aledo, Texas by @tx.matthew_
