Junior Worlds wrapped up this week in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and we want to congratulate all of the Texas juniors who represented our state on the biggest stage in junior disc golf. While we couldn’t make the trip this year, we were proud to follow along and cheer everyone on from home!

What a weekend at the 2026 NADGT Junior North American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 🥏⛈️

This trip was about much more than trophies and podium finishes. The kids battled through heavy rain, weather delays, long days, difficult course conditions, and plenty of challenges both on and off the course. Through it all, they stayed positive, competed hard, and represented @txjuniordg with pride.

🥈 Austin fought his way to a 2nd place finish in MJ12.

🏅 Major finished 6th place in a strong MJ12 field and gained valuable championship-level experience.

🥉 Xzavier finished 3rd place and was just ONE stroke away from becoming a North American Champion.

While the results were great, the biggest victory was the experience gained. Learning how to handle adversity, manage emotions, adapt to changing conditions, and continue competing when things don’t go your way are lessons that will last far longer than any trophy.

Proud of all three of these young athletes for their effort, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the weekend. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

Huge thanks to all the parents, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors who helped make the trip possible.

2026 NADGT Junior North American Disc Golf Championships recap! 🥏🇺🇸

This week was a reminder that competition isn’t always just about scores and trophies. Sometimes the biggest lessons come from dealing with adversity, overcoming challenges, and continuing to compete with integrity even when things don’t go your way.

The week brought plenty of challenges both on and off the course, including heavy rain, weather delays, schedule changes, and long days of waiting. Through it all, Xzavier stayed focused, kept a positive attitude, and continued to compete his hardest.

When it was all said and done, Xzavier finished just one stroke shy of becoming a North American Champion. While that result stings a little, it’s also something to be incredibly proud of. Competing at that level against some of the best junior players on the continent is no small accomplishment.

I’m incredibly proud of the way he carried himself throughout the event and represented Texas Junior Disc Golf with class from start to finish.

We met some great families, played some great courses, and gained valuable experience that will help us moving forward. Every event is a learning opportunity, and this one was no exception.

A huge thank you to @mintdiscs for their continued support of Xzavier’s journey, and thank you to everyone who supports @txjuniordg and our mission of growing the sport for the next generation.

We loaded up the minivan and headed to Oklahoma to play the @nadgt.official Junior North American Disc Golf Championships.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, and sent positive vibes. The memories these kids made traveling and competing together are truly priceless.

Special thanks to Austin and Major’s family for letting the kids tag along on this trip & a huge shoutout to Texas Disc Dudes for coming in clutch on Day 2 and helping get the kids rain jackets when the weather turned rough!

Results:
🥈 Austin King (MJ12) – 2nd Place
🥉 Xzavier Perks (MJ10) – 3rd Place
🏅 Major Johnson (MJ12) – Tied for 6th Place

The weather was tough, the days were long, and there were plenty of learning opportunities, but these kids kept pushing and never gave up. We wrapped up the trip with a fun round at Twin Bridges before heading back to Texas.

We’re so proud of these juniors and can’t wait to see what’s next.
