🪧SWAD Re-cap🪧

3 of our officers had the amazing opportunity to attend Social Work Advocacy Day (SWAD). Social Work Advocacy Day celebrates the power of social workers coming together to drive change while honoring the diverse experiences and perspectives each of us brings. Whether you’re a student, seasoned professional, or retired, your voice matters in shaping policy, advancing social justice, and strengthening communities across Texas. Our President Keria also gave an amazing speech, talking about the unjustly incarceration of women of color. by @txst.ossw

What does it mean to be a good-standing OSSW member? 💗✨

Being a good-standing member means staying involved, showing up, and actively participating in OSSW’s events!

Here’s how YOU can do it:
💬 Attend 2 general meetings each semester
OR attend 2 guest speaking events (guest speaking events coming soon on zoom for our online/round rock members!)
🤝 Attend 1 volunteer event each semester
OR donate 2 items to the Bobcat Food Pantry

Why does it matter? 👀
Good-standing members get access to ✨exclusive OSSW events✨

Stay engaged. Stay connected. Make an impact 💙 by @txst.ossw
