🍂🍻 Fall Sips & Tips went out with a bang on graduation night!

Lots of laughs, good shots, bad shots, and a few drinks to ease the pain of those bad shots! 😂

These past few weeks reminded me what golf is all about. It’s not about how good or bad you are, but the people you meet and the memories you make. Ladies, you were the definition of a good time!

Proud of everyone who stepped outside their comfort zone and gave this game a shot. ❤️🏌️‍♀️

Huge thanks to my fellow Assistant Golf Professional, Rich Updike, for helping lead the clinics, and Evan Jones for keeping the drinks flowing and the jukebox rocking!

What a great day for PGA HOPE graduation! 🇺🇸❤️

It was a privilege to witness the dedication, growth, and impact of everyone involved throughout this program — myself included.

Sometimes you go into a situation thinking you’re there to be the teacher, only to realize how much you can learn by simply listening to someone else’s story. This experience was a great reminder that golf is about so much more than just the game.

Being part of such an incredible program that gives back to the people who have served and continue to inspire us is truly a privilege. I’m honored to be part of PGA HOPE and grateful for the opportunity to help others through something I love.

Thank you to PGA HOPE for everything you do and everything you stand for. And thank you to everyone I had the opportunity to work with, learn from, and help over the last few weeks. You’ve made a lasting impact on me, too.

The game of golf brings us together, but the people and their stories are what make it special. ❤️🇺🇸

You can feel silly asking what seems like really basic questions. What’s the pin? What’s a divot? What does “come down on the ball” actually mean? And apparently “the green” does not mean everything that is green 💚🥴

I’ve always LOVED the questions I get as a running coach.

How slow should an easy run be? What’s a stride? Do I stop my watch when I walk? What am I supposed to eat during a long run? What does “4 x 400” actually mean?

There are so many words and concepts in running. And none of them are obvious when you’re new.

So you Google… You read… You watch videos. You get 14 DIFFERENT answers and somehow end up with 6 more questions than you started with 😂🙈

And I think that’s one of the really cool things about having a coach. You get to just ask.

I love taking something that sounds complicated, breaking it down, and watching it click for my athletes.

So ask the questions.

Even the ones you think you should already know the answer to. by @ty.teaches.golf

What a privilege it is to be able to work with and help the veterans and people actively serving our country, so that I can do what I love. It’s a honor to be a part of PGA Hope.

This program helps veterans and active duty participants deal with physical and cognitive challenges (such as PTSD or traumatic brain injuries) while building a social community and assisting with life assimilation.

There’s a little more behind this than me randomly deciding to learn how to golf 😂

Part of my motivation was my son. Golf is something he loves, and I wanted to learn enough to be able to step into that part of his world with him.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I was really excited to learn it for myself, too. (It’s so fun being a beginner in a new sport).

So I thought I’d bring you along for some of it.

⭐️ I spend a lot of time here talking about the miles, and I’ve always believed the life around them matters just as much. Motherhood, work, relationships. The things we’re learning. The things that make us laugh. The people we love…

Because ultimately, THIS is what we carry into the miles.

Our LIFE. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Apparently I’m carrying one golf club 🤷‍♀️

Oh AND I just drove a golf cart for the first time lol…..
