Forever is the memories we make. ❤️

This photo holds such a sweet memory.
This is happiness captured in a moment. And even if one day our feelings change, our paths separate, or we become different people, none of that can erase what we shared or make those moments any less genuine.

What follows isn’t about my amazing friend, but about how I’m learning to see relationships differently.
I used to feel like a train station, watching people come and go. It hurt when relationships changed, when people moved away, got married, had children, disagreed, or simply grew apart. I thought that if a connection was real, it had to last forever. Now I see it differently. Not everyone is meant to stay for the whole journey. Some people share a lifetime with us; others share a season. Neither makes the love less real. I’m letting go of the expectation that people will always be there, keep every promise, or feel about me the same way forever. I still care deeply. I still show up. But I’m learning not to measure a relationship by how long it lasts. If you step onto my train, you’ll find a tender heart. Someone who will love you, laugh with you, and do everything possible to make the ride beautiful. And if one day you choose another destination, I’ll be grateful for the journey we shared.
You may change how you see me, how you treat me, or who you become. But you cannot erase the happiness I felt in our moments together. Those memories belong to me. Maybe one day I won’t recognize the person you’ve become. Maybe the love I once felt will no longer exist in the present. But the person I knew was loved, and that love will always have a place in my memories. I’m no longer searching for forever in people. The real forever lives in the memories we make. ❤️

Did it again! 5.7 miles! And I promise I won’t be back there again this year. 😮‍💨😂

The exact same trail as last time, but somehow it felt even harder this time because it was SO hot. I forgot a hat or anything to protect me from the sun, and for some reason I convinced myself it would get cold as we climbed higher… so I wore a long-sleeve turtleneck. 🫠 Excellent decision. 😂

It felt like everyone had been waiting for the next sunny day just to get a clear view of magnificent Mount Rainier. 🏔️ And honestly, it was so worth it. Last time, the mountain was completely hidden behind clouds and fog, so finally getting to see it in all its glory made the whole hike feel extra special.

And don’t even get me started on the bear we got to see casually walking around. 🐻Definitely a day to remember!
