I stopped fearing

the storm.

Not because it became gentle,

but because I finally understood

why it came.

It found every crack

I had spent years

trying to hide,

and filled them

with rain instead of shame.

The water asked

for nothing.

It simply carried away

what no longer belonged to me.

Seeds do not bloom

because the earth is easy.

They bloom

because they trust

the darkness

long enough

to become light.

So I surrendered.

To the rain.

To the roots.

To the waiting.

And somewhere beneath

everything I thought

I was losing,

I found

the woman

I had been growing into

From chubby cheeks and scraped knees to becoming a woman who has survived, learned, loved, lost, healed, and grown.

This little girl had no idea what life would ask of her. She didn’t know about the mountains she’d climb, the storms she’d weather, or the strength she’d have to discover within herself.

But here I am.

Not perfect. Not finished. Still evolving.

Twenty five years of becoming. Twenty-five years of conquering fears, breaking limits, rewriting stories, and choosing growth even when it hurt.

Today I celebrate every version of me, the little girl who dreamed, the young woman who fought, and the woman I am still becoming.

Chapter 25: softer where I need to be, stronger where I must be, and more myself than ever before.
