It's time to make more loops. New album of two more loops coming later this fall on @greyfade_label. Before then, join @tyciterman @aaron.edgcomb @josephbranciforte and me on Sept 25th for the (early) album release show.

Loop 8/9 is the third chapter in my ongoing series of loops, following Filters (released 2022) and Loop 7 (released 2025). Loop 8 and 9 are both in tuning systems that featured on tracks from my most recent album, Partisan Ship.

Info & tickets at tinyurl.com/loop8and9

Thanks to @nevets.gnol for inviting us to play on his series at St. Michael's Church. Check out the other amazing programs he has planned this fall, including a ton of Feldman concerts. (More info via Eventbrite related events.) by @tyciterman

Two shows this week with @andersnilssonguitar at #ibeam and @___lava__club - please RSVP! We’re doing our original arrangements of iconic piano music by Arnold Schoenberg alongside original works. Schoenberg’s music from this period 1911-13 hits that sweet spot of harmonic adventure, uniquely lyrical melodies and expressiveness that I also hear in Thelonious Monk. It’s a joy to play. I hope to see you there!

The 49ers are doing two HOT July concerts on july 16 and 17! This snapshot is Arnold Schoenberg’s op. 19 (no.4) originally for solo piano but we’ve rearranged for guitar duo. It’s 20 seconds of whimsical, fast ferocity - link in bio for show details! #livemusic #schoenberg #atonal #guitarists taken in Brooklyn, New York by @tyciterman

Another movement song from the way-back: I’ll be singing, teaching and leading “Bella Ciao” and many others on July 4 at the wonderful @worldfellowshipcenter in NH! This is my solo nod to a beautiful recording by @marcribotmusic and @tomwaits from 2018 #protestsong #livemusic #guitarist by @tyciterman

Dusting off this 135 year old piece by deeply influential Spanish composer Francisco Tárrega. A sensuous guitar staple for nylon strings - I’m working on it with a few students and want to recapture my own sense of it.

Morning guitar meditations: this one inspired by a 98 year-old recording by Mississippi John Hurt called “Avalon Blues.” Guitar tuned low from Bb with heavy heavy strings. His breaks are beautiful and so melodic - I play just one of them here on this miniature rendition.
