A night was had last night at Roots Picnic! Jay-Z really showed why he is on the Rushmore of hip hop. And I got to see my favorite Hip Hip Song of all time done live by by @tyej3049

A night was had! Game 3 of ECF in Cleveland and sat next to 3 random Knicks fans and we enjoyed every minute. We are a little crazy, but its because this experience is crazy. One more game to get! Let's go Knicks one more game till we get back to finals for first time since 1999. Also, thank you Cleveland for this experience!💙🧡💙🧡 by @tyej3049

Celebrating the woman who made me who I am. It was a full circle moment celebrating 25 years since graduating and also watching your child graduate. Glad my mother made me not take the year off after high school that I was trying to do. And now she is a proud Nana of a college graduate and of 4 other children. Salute to you Leslie McGrath.

I wanted to share a post of this Nationals weekend with my daughter. I am proud of her not for the results she had but the resilience she showed. Last year at the same meet, she didnt get the result taht she wanted and we both made a promise that next year shse would be in a better position.

This became tough as she had to overcome an injury that didn't allow her to practice for basically 3 weeks. She had to go visits to a massage therapist, PT, and Chiropractor visits frequently to be able to just run.

And then when she runs well in her first event, she was almost kicked out of the top 8 by someone that was given a 2nd chance to run. Through all of this she remained my Annette humble and focused. Instead of getting rattled, all she did was say, 'I will make my opportunity worth it', which meant beating at least two people that finished higher than her from a not so easy lane. She did that!

Then for her team, she was part of a 4×200m team that broke the meet record while finishing 3rd. Also she ran on the last day after not being sure she was going to be able to run physically, in the 4x400m and ran the 3rd fastest split of any of the competitors to put her team in the position to finish 4th.

This weekend was definitely Redemption of last year and the hard work and adversity she went through. I am just so proud of the child she is. Looking forward to being along for the ride.
