Updates on Phase 2 of my studio model! I took the basic abstract construct and built my ideas based on that original concept, creating a usable space for people. I am excited to have my midterm pin-up tomorrow and then to start moving on to the next phase of the project.

Here I have been experimenting with sketching and representing different window styles. Different slides use different media (Rhino vs. Sketchbook) and different perspectives and views (front, perspective, section, oblique axonometric, and plan oblique axonometric).

Skills: using different line weights, experimenting with spatial, seam, and hidden lines, practicing using Rhino to show axonometric views, trying new hatches, not using a ruler or sketch lines.

Mediums: Pen on paper, Rhino, Adobe Illustrator by @tylarfarch

This Project is an Istanbul Airport Tarmac Extraction. I started by outlining all the major curves of the airport, then chose a ZOI (zone of interest). Within this ZOI, I made sure to outline every detail that stood out to me and then I played with the line weights & types and different hatches. Finally, I 3d printed a basic outline of my zone of interest to help captivate the area.

Concepts: curve construction geometry, digital workspace and workflows, drafting operations, digital craft, scale.

Software: Rhino // Adobe Illustrator

Skills: Precise construction of 2-dimensional vector-based drawings, post-production, graphic composition, and introductory 3D printing. by @tylarfarch
