Tylee Coates
Director
Performer

Tylee Coates is a 22 year old Dancer, Performer and Choreographer based out of Salt Lake City. She has been dancing for over 16 years now, starting out at a small studio in Salt Lake City, and got her high school degree from the Salt Lake School for the Preforming Arts where she studied under Bethany Hanson, Jessie Metcalf-McCullough and Michelle Armstrong. Tylee went to Snow College in 2022 and graduated with her Associates in Dance where she studied under Dmitri Peskov along with being on the Snow College Dance Company. During her time there, Tylee preformed as a soloist at the American College Dance Association, along with being in an ensemble for a piece that was sent to Gala in both 2023 and 2024. She preformed a piece by Rire-woodbury Dance Company in 2024. In March of 2024, she traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan with the Snow College Dance Company where they preformed in RADFEST. Since graduating from Snow College, Tylee has been freelancing around the Salt Lake Valley, performing in multiple shows: twice in the Sample Series Showcase by Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative and Deseret Experimental Opera, Tara Jo’s first Full length show, Monday Movement Lab, and on Allium Movers season two. She is now continuing her journey towards her Bachelors in Dance at the Utah Valley University. Tylee started Amor Dance Creative in the summer of 2024 because she wanted to create a safe space for dancers to grow and move with each other. She is so excited for what season three will bring! by @tyleecoates.dance

On Saturday @amordance.creative will be showcasing our third season! This season has been such a dream, these dancers and choreographers have worked so hard to create their visions and express their individuality! I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them! If you want to see these incredible works make sure to be there!

I’m so proud of where amor has come since 2024 with only 5 members to now with 14 members!! Amor to me is about bring together emerging artists and giving more opportunities to artists to create their work! Huge Thank you to everyone who has joined us, supported us and watched us since the start! Here’s to season 3 and I can’t wait for season 4!

A special thank you to @marenrodgers for being the best assistant director ever! I couldn’t do this without you! by @tyleecoates.dance
