Thank you, Coach Q, for giving me the opportunity to bring football back into my life.

This past year has been one of the hardest years I’ve ever been through. Growing up, football was always the main thing I talked about and something that helped shape me into the person I am today. Last year, I made what I thought was the right decision and completely took football out of my life. Looking back, I realize it was one of the worst decisions I could’ve made. I thought quitting would make my life easier and better. I thought football was taking up too much of my time and holding me back. I was wrong. This past year came with a lot of challenges, regret, and difficult moments that changed the way I viewed life. But through it all, I learned a lot about myself. Sometimes you have to lose something you love to realize just how much it truly means to you. Coach Q has always been someone I could go to for anything, on or off the field. Even when I stepped away from football, he continued checking in on me. A couple weeks ago, he gave me a call and honestly, it felt like my second chance. I didn’t think twice. Over these past two weeks, I have felt better about myself than I have in a long time. I’m grateful for this opportunity and everyone who has continued to believe in me.

With that being said…

I’m officially back. Let’s go have some fun!!! #fyp taken in Tustin, California by @tyler.gonzalez8
