On December 15th, the Lord called my sweet Pa home.

To put into words how much my Pa meant to me is nearly impossible. His leadership, love, and passion he had for everything life had to offer are something I will never forget. He taught me how to love and care for others, also to sit back and enjoy the small things in life. My Grandfather was everything to me, he was my best friend, a father figure, my hero, and the best role model anybody could ask for. The special thing about him is that he was that for everyone who had a chance to know him, even if he had never spoken to you before he still had love for you in his heart. Pa has never missed a game in my 15 years of playing sports, even the out-of-town tournaments. He would be there every time whistling his head off trying to get my attention. I would hear that whistle every time knowing who it was and exactly what he was going to say. His instinct was to help others, if you were playing a sport and he saw you after the game 9 times out of 10 Pa was going to coach you up on something. He was the greatest man I have ever known, the bond and love we shared is something I feel is once in a lifetime and I am so grateful God gave me 20 glorious years together. I will forever cherish the random phone calls asking and checking “how’s my boy doing” also the times I would only come over for a couple of minutes and end up staying for hours sitting in our recliners just talking about anything and everything. I will miss sitting next to you watching the Spurs play, also yelling at the TV whenever Alabama touches the ball on offense. I will hold on to these memories you’ve given me over these years and pass them down to every person I meet so your legacy moves on. I wish I could sit here and just go on and tell you how amazing a man my grandfather was and the incredible things he accomplished in his life. I love you forever and always Pa.
