The days following Xmas are always quiet, and here in NYC, there’s been snowfall since yesterday, so time to hunker down, practice on guitars that don’t leave the house and indulge a bit.

While it’s true, one should avoid what’s known as “overplaying,” it’s also good to have a few shreddy licks under your fingertips to use while needed. Playing them on “big” guitars like this is a challenge and makes it easier when switching back to solidbody. I posted part of this as a story last night and got such nice responses (including friends who are also musical heroes, thanks dudes), so sharing here, a longer clip.
