Stoked to share our new EP Pollen with you today - stream it where ya like, or buy it on Bandcamp if you’re inclined.
Massive thanks to all of you who continue to support us, especially in this weird year where I (Daniel) am travelling and we aren’t gigging. Putting out music is cathartic for us, and if it resonates with anyone in any meaningful way, it is equally as meaningful to us that it did so.
Huge thanks to @marlyluske who produced the title track at @alchemixstudios, and also mixed and mastered the whole EP - you’re a legend man.
Thanks as well to @ni_cnussy, for capturing the moment on camera in the best way every time.
We went into this recording date having played the song a sum total of 4 times, which in hindsight, I wouldn’t recommend haha, but hey, after some overdubs and studio magic, it all worked out. This is one of the sections that kinda lines up with the final version of tune.
We’ll be gigging again next year, but until then, we hope ya enjoy this EP and stay peeled for more new tunes coming soon 🫶
Big love by @tylercooney

WE ARE LIVE! Checkout the link in my bio, and in a few hours it’ll be bandcamp Friday too so all the proceeds will go directly to me if you purchase.

Tickets in bio!

The Tyler Cooney Quartet will be previewing their upcoming release Jelly Legs – set for release later this year – in full at JMI Live on Thursday, August 21st. Tyler is joined by Wil Sargisson on keys, Elliott Parker on bass, and Dom Machen on drums. The tunes on the album gradually took shape during a regular residency the band has held over the past few years.

In early 2025, they headed into the studio to capture a snapshot of that period and solidify the music into a recorded form. Jelly Legs draws inspiration from artists like John Scofield and The New Mastersounds, as well as the laid-back energy of warm, sunny summer days.
