I’ve started and deleted this post more times than I can count because I haven’t quite known how to put this feeling into words.

If you would’ve told me 8–10 years ago that I’d be where I am today, I probably would’ve laughed my ass off at you. 😂

The accomplishments are easy to see. What people don’t always see are the sacrifices, self-doubt, heartbreak, and moments of losing yourself along the way.

These past few weeks, I’ve started choosing ME again. I’m taking care of myself, eating better, losing weight, protecting my peace, and learning to love myself again. With the weight of a toxic relationship finally gone, I’m putting that energy back into the person and future that deserve it—mine.

And I couldn’t think of a better time to announce my next chapter:

I’ve officially been accepted into a Master’s Degree program to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)! 🧠🩺🎓

From LPN, to RN, to leadership, earning my CCHP, and now working toward becoming a Nurse Practitioner… damn, I’m proud of myself.

Not because the road here was easy, but because I kept going.

Here’s to healing, growth, choosing myself, and earning more letters behind my name.

I’ve got a long week coming up! I just got back from travel today and leave tomorrow for a week! We spent the day running errands, shopping, and now relaxing over dinner and drinks. I haven’t the slightest idea of how he deals with my travel but, he does! ❤️ by @tylerhafterhours

When your doctor says, ‘You need to lose weight and get healthier!’ — you listen and take action. 💪 All my food is precisely measured with a food scale before it goes into the containers, and I’m intentional with every seasoning and ingredient I use. I hit the gym three days a week and stay consistent. Big thanks to Jasminefor all the amazing advice, tips, and support along the way! by @tylerhafterhours

To say I’m proud doesn’t even scratch the surface. I’ve seen every fight, every setback, every hospital stay—and still, you pushed through and made the Dean’s List. That’s not luck, that’s grit. That’s heart. If anyone knows what it takes, it’s me—because I’ve lived it, and I’ve watched you give everything when most people would have given up. You’re not just chasing your dream, you’re proving to everyone that nothing can stop you. Becoming a nurse isn’t just a goal—it’s who you are.
