Important update: VIP Opening Night has been rescheduled to Friday, October 16 from 5pm to 10pm.
Dear friends of Art Fair Tampa,
We're writing with an important scheduling update. Due to the exhibition build-out taking longer than expected, we are delaying the fair by one day to ensure every booth, installation, and experience meets the standard our artists and visitors deserve.
VIP Opening Night / Collectors Night will now take place tomorrow, Friday, October 16, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Tampa Convention Center. All VIP tickets already purchased will be honored — no action is needed on your part.
An updated full fair schedule will follow shortly. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding, and we can't wait to welcome you through the doors for what promises to be an unforgettable opening weekend.
Warm regards,
The Art Fair Tampa Team by @tylerintampa

I'm excited to share that I'll be exhibiting at @artfairtampa, October 15–18, at the Tampa Convention Center! 🎨
Miami was a moment, and I've just kept creating, growing, and seeing where all of this takes me.
After debuting INFERNO: IX during Miami Art Week, I'm looking forward to bringing the collection home and sharing it with my Tampa Bay community. I'll also be showcasing my Threshold Series and other original works.
More than anything, I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone. Whether you've supported my art over the years, followed along from a distance, or we're meeting for the first time, I'd love for you to stop by.
Come experience the work in person, say hello, talk some art, or just hang out for a bit. And if we've crossed paths along the way, let's make sure we get a photo together!

Featured Artist :
DANIEL D. SHEPPARD

Daniel Devonte Sheppard is a self taught multidisciplinary visual artist—specifically a painter who explores both representational work (portraits and landscapes) and fluid/abstract techniques (pour art). Born and raised in Tampa of African American and Jamaican descent, he is known for his urban realism style, including portraiture of people, animals, landscapes, and cityscapes, as well as, fluid pour art.

His work explores the expression, emotion, and anatomy of humans and animals in art, architecture, and urban environments. His influences include historical and contemporary artists of all mediums and practices especially those of movements like the Harlem Renaissance.

Daniel was honored by the city of Tampa, Mayor Jane castor, along with Council woman Naya Young and the Tampa police department for his mural inside of the station that captured the full essence of Tampa Florida and the cultures that shaped the city’s history up to today. Daniel was featured in the Tampa Tribune as one for the city’s rising artist.

With hundreds of paintings completed and sold, Daniel’s artwork is in many homes and businesses across the United States. His goal is to continue growing in the art profession and to give back to his community.

Award winning, internationally published street photographer, Sal Patalano, will be one of the artists at the Art Fair Tampa. His book of poignant street portraits titled “One Race One Face”, was accepted into and is being carried by the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.

ONE RACE — ONE FACE

"In the midst of ordinary streets and overlooked corners of our communities, my camera seeks the people too often unseen.

As a street portrait photographer, I am drawn to the faces and stories of those living with hardship, homelessness, isolation, and uncertainty. These photographs are not intended to define people by their circumstances, but to recognize the humanity that remains beyond them.

I approach each person directly and with respect. The resulting portraits are moments of connection—unposed glimpses of vulnerability, resilience, dignity, and strength.

The streets offer no doors to close or curtains to draw. For some, privacy itself is a privilege. My photographs ask the viewer to pause, look closely, and consider the person behind the circumstances.

"We may live different lives, carry different histories, and walk different streets.
But beneath it all, we share the same human face." taken in United States by @tylerintampa

Tampa’s cultural landscape is evolving—and we are building its next chapter together. 🏛️✨

We are proud to officially announce The Rooted Door as the official 501(c)(3) non-profit partner for Art Fair Tampa!

This collaboration was born from a shared conviction: Tampa deserves cultural experiences that refuse to settle for the traditional.

While Art Fair Tampa reimagines what a modern art fair can be, The Rooted Door is dedicated to transforming raw, unconventional environments and unexpected spaces into groundbreaking, site-specific theatrical worlds.

Together, we share an uncompromising commitment to our city—proving that world-class, boundary-pushing art belongs right here at home.

About The Rooted Door

Recognized locally as a Tampa Bay Times “Best of the Best” Bronze winner for Best Local Theater Company, The Rooted Door has also earned major international acclaim—taking home top global creative, design, and community impact honors (including Platinum Hermes, Gold MUSE, and Communitas awards) for our flagship production, Secret Spaces.

We create bold, multi-sensory immersive experiences that elevate Tampa Bay’s cultural scene while championing homegrown talent and meaningful community impact.

Our mission is simple yet vital: to fortify our cultural arts by providing fair-wage opportunities for local performers and crew, funding higher education scholarships for emerging talent, and practicing creative placemaking that revitalizes overlooked spaces across our city.

Great cities don’t just import culture—they nurture and sustain their own artists.

As we step into this partnership, we invite you to be part of the movement:

👉 Follow @TheRootedDoor and @ArtFairTampa to go behind the scenes of what we’re creating together.

👉 Support the mission: Head to the link in bio or visit therooteddoor.com to make a direct contribution via Zeffy and help fuel Tampa’s independent artists and creators.

See you on the floor at Art Fair Tampa.

Let’s make history together. . . .
