Vibes 📈

Had seen this trend floating around for awhile now and was loving it — thought it could use a little #nascar touch.

Shoutout to the super-talented @theboogley for these characters!

Cool being this close? Yes. A bit nerve-wracking? Also yes.

Talk to me, Creed.

Mind if a guy gets a little vulnerable?

For me, some days being someone who makes content for a living specifically for apps like this can be really, really hard. You always have ideas. You always have things you want to learn. You always have a video in the back of your mind you want to create. But then, at least for me, my mind so easily jumps into negative self-talk mode. “That person’s doing it, why can’t you?” “You not talented enough?” “Too lazy?” And then taking the first step to turn them into reality can feel like the most daunting thing in the entire world.

You follow people to see what they’re making. To be inspired. To learn a new technique. I can’t lie though — envy, inferiority, all those things creep in when I see lots of it. And hundreds (literally) of saved posts later, the posts and reels stay in that ever-growing collection, and the ideas you have just stay up in your head and lodge there. But when I resurface them, too often the negative self-talk arrives and I just get stuck. And that can be so draining.

I catch myself mindlessly scrolling, constantly thinking “where in the world do people have the time to make these sorts of things??” But worst of all, it seems to turn into thoughts of “well they’ve found the time, they’re doing the thing, they’re turning footage into these amazing reels, they’re churning out these renders, why aren’t you doing that?” And so the cycle starts again … the fleeting inspo, the fear of being disappointed that you won’t be able to do it at the level you want, and then the inaction.

Thankfully, not every day is like this. Some days an idea is so exciting you fall into a flow state easily. But a lot of days are really hard.

So for now, enjoy some shots from what I’ve been up to recently. Every day is an attempt to keep building momentum and moving forward — to get better at positive self-talk, and to realize the big things that cloud your mind and loom so large really aren’t that big.

It may not be anything fancy — but at least it’s a step in the right direction. And if you’ve EVER felt this way, just know you’re not alone. And any win — no matter how big or small — is still a win. by @tylerjstrong

Noisy ride, had to climb in through window, still gave @kylelarsonracin 5 stars ⭐️

Still a lot to work on to perfect these renders, but liked how this one panned out, especially on a next-morning turnaround for @nascar.
