Finally drove the wagon to town! No overheating on this drive, but I’m still working on getting the temps lower. A secret handshake at startup unlocks full power mode with the ECU, and this thing is a real blast to drive.
This was a special day. the furthest drive it’s taken so far, and I got to share and present the car at The Kaka’ako Foundry Museum.The reaction from the group was pretty cool. This started out as build for myself and a way to connect with others, so seeing all the hard work resonate with other people and getting to share what the build, and the car community, means to me was pretty neat. taken in Kaka’ako by @tylerrgregorka

Isn’t there something magnetic about being by an old car?
Maybe they remind us of simpler days, or of our grandparents and loved ones who helped shape who we are with our cars. I think our cars carry memories with them, so the good old ones have the stories of the people who sat behind the wheel before us having them.

Whenever there’s been a void in my life, I’ve stuffed a car into it. It’s worked pretty well for me. And with Bones getting old and running out of the things we used to do, I realized we can still hang out in the garage like when he was a puppy and work on an old 240.

When life gives you heartbreak you can’t fix, go fix an old car. And if it’s a Volvo, it’ll roll you into cool people! with plenty of space for surf/skate/body boards and your emotional baggage. by @tylerrgregorka

While waiting for waves, peacocks wandered across the rocks by the trees, and flying foxes soared overhead beneath the moon, it felt pretty surreal…. As soon as I saw a wave swallow the big rock, I knew that one was mine to ride. 🌊🪨🦚🦇 taken in Hiriketiya, Sri Lanka by @tylerrgregorka
