We were able to do this mashup of “Thank You Jesus for the Blood” into “Nothing But The Blood” for our 21 Days of Prayer Finale.

This video is a good example of how we often have to change our plans when we get into the moment in a service. Based on the Holy Spirit, the congregation, the pastor, the worship leader… so many things have to adapt in the moment. It’s our job as music directors to be IN that moment and help facilitate those changes. by @tylerwester

For Legacy Sunday, we wanted to work part of Gratitude between Bless God and Worthy of It All.

To make it work, we moved everything into the same key and started experimenting with different ways to get from 4/4 to 6/8 without losing momentum.

These cuties went back to school this week!

I couldn’t be more proud of them both. They are silly, love people and so happy to be back with their friends 🤍 So thankful for who they are and so excited to watch them learn and grow this year! by @tylerwester

When the worship leader calls an audible, everyone has to be ready to pivot — MD, band, vocals, production. This short clip from our First Wednesday service in October is a good example of staying alert, ready to change, and being flexible.

Using @shure Axient system has allowed us to give the worship leader a talkback mic that they can use during the service. It’s been huge for moments like these. by @tylerwester

Sunday @churchofthehighlands couple months back. One of the biggest lessons an MD can learn is when to use the mic… and when to say nothing. We had rehearsed this spot, and no one needed any direction.

Can’t believe little A is a 2nd grader! 🥹 We had a summer that we’ll never forget, but we’re so excited for a year of learning, growing, sports, and loving Jesus! So proud of you, Aiden!!! by @tylerwester

ONE WEEK SINCE MOTION CONFERENCE. So incredibly blessed to get to play a part. I love @churchofthehighlands , and I love our focus on the next generation. God did some incredibly powerful things in the lives of students, and I can’t wait to hear stories down the road of what happened in that room over those 3 days. Thank you @markpettus for leading our team and our church the way you do. @christinewester_ and I love you!!!

BIG shoutout to @christinewester_ for being such an incredible wife and mom and really holding the mental load of our home while I was away or at home preparing. Couldn’t do this without you.

Another big shoutout to @voisinsean for all the time and dedication he puts into everything that he touches. I couldn’t do what I do without him. So overly grateful for him. You guys will never understand the amount of pressure he has on him and how well he handles it… calm, smooth, gracious, Christlike.
