Blessed to have closed on my 2nd real estate property today🙏🏾

Never thought this was possible growing up, still can’t even believe at just 24 years old I own 2 duplexes.

God is good❤️❤️ have to give all glory to him.

If I can do it you can too, just have to take that chance and believe in yourself🙏🏾❤️

Proud say I have closed on my first
property. I am now a home owner and a real estate investor. Never thought at the age of 23 that I would get to say those words but I put my mind to it and found a way. Words can’t describe how thankful and proud I am.

Never give up on your goals, you are closer than you think 🤞🏾💯

Excited to be at Olivet Nazarene University next week.

I’ll be on a panel at their Createur conference speaking to young entrepreneurs, business students, and college students about the journey of entrepreneurship.

I will be talking about my real estate journey, my speaking and coaching business and what it actually looks like to build wealth in your 20s while still figuring things out.

No highlight reel. Just the real story.

Today is my dad’s birthday. He would have been 53.

As I reflect on him today I have a different perspective. The way I see him now is a lot different than it used to be.

There was a time where I didn’t understand a lot.
I had questions. I had frustrations. There were things that hurt.

But as I’ve gotten older, gone through counseling, and really started doing my own healing, my perspective has shifted.

My dad really did the best he could with what he had.

And when I sit back and think about it, he didn’t have much to work with.

No father figure to show him the way.
A mom who was deaf.
Not a lot of support or examples of what being a man, a dad, or a leader should look like.

And yet, he still showed up.

He still provided.
He still tried.
He still gave what he knew how to give.

Now being where I’m at in life, thinking about responsibility, leadership, marriage, and one day being a father, I see it differently.

I don’t just see what was missing anymore.
I see what he carried.

I see what he pushed through.
I see the weight he had on him.

And I respect that in a whole new way.

Healing has taught me that you can hold both,
the pain and the appreciation.

And today, I’m choosing appreciation.

Happy Birthday, Dad.
I love you.

This one means a lot to me.

Completing the Gallup Global Strengths Course is a full-circle moment. I first took the CliftonStrengths assessment in college, and it completely changed how I viewed myself, my twenties, and the way I approach life and work. For over four years, I’ve been learning, applying, and loving this work and I’m proud of myself for finally making the investment to go deeper.

I believe confidence grows when people are seen for what’s right with them. I can’t wait to use this to help people gain clarity, energy, and confidence in a world that doesn’t always put us in our strengths. Grateful, proud, and just getting started. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @tylewie
