Me and @achinatorr’s live set from Dreamscape Festival, warming up µ-Ziq is finally on Soundcloud.

This was the most fun we’ve had in a whileeeee, hopping from glitchy and off-kilter IDM to bass heavy trap and ending with a legendary edit of Tenacious D. Swipe for a few snippets but go give it a full listen via the link in bio:3

₪ Very happy to announce that my track “Disintegrating” has been released today, part of @bodymethod_ ‘s 1 year compilation “Mutual Motion”. Fast-rolling rhythms, fleeting melodies, soft vocal fragments. Mixed by my dearest friend @frrriiieeedddeeel

Available to listen on Soundcloud and to buy on Bandcamp. (link in bio)

P.S! All funds from the compilation will go to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund to provide pediatric care to children in Gaza — so go support some good music and a good cause:)

Per my New Year’s resolution, I’ll be releasing a lot more music. So here’s a two-track EP for winter listening, unfolding through blurred ambience, and fragile glitches into a submerged, amphibious space. Link in bio ;)

On November 13th, Dreamscape is proud to welcome to Tallinn one of the UK’s most seismically influential figures in all of electronic music: Kode9.

Most widely known as the founder of Hyperdub and for shaping the sound of the early UK dubstep scene through releasing the works of Burial and his own collaborative projects with The Spaceape, Steve Goodman aka Kode9 is a London-based DJ/Producer, artist and writer who has built a world of warped bass and scattered rhythms that has changed the course of electronic dance music.

Whether it be footwork, dubstep or rough kuduro, Kode9 has ears like antennae that reach across the globe to scan for innovative styles of club music, recruiting pioneering artists under his wing to expand the Hyperdub universe. Alongside the Hyperdub boss, we have curated a lineup of kindred explorers of all things futuristic and experimental in club music.

Joining us from Poland is Gary Gwadera - drummer, composer, anthropologist and creator of Footberk, an original style of club music combining Polish traditional dance music with Chicago’s footwork, as well as artist/DJ Silvia Kastel from London - a long-time NTS Radio resident combining her history of sonic exploration with sensual club music that fuses pop with bass-heavy driving polyrhythms.

Local support includes a live set by Dreamscape resident Type1, B2B action between Nikolajev and Susanna Raiend and forward thinking Bristol-via-Poland bass music by Inklingroom boss Wash Electra.

✢ Kode9 (UK / Hyperdub)
✢ Silvia Kastel (UK)
✢ Gary Gwadera (PL) – LIVE
✢ Type1 (NL) – LIVE
✢ Nikolajev x Susanna Raiend
✢ Wash Electra

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the animaTek duo will be present at half capacity, with one half – Type1, to be precise – taking the reins.

Type1’s progression through the world of sonics has been an accelerated one, full of idiosyncratic twists and a fiery passion that hasn’t let up since day one. From metal and trap influences in middle school, through jungle, UK garage, vintage house and techno in high school, all the way to the expressive landscape of IDM and its far edges in recent years – Type1 keeps his sonic world intact and continuous.

That multifaceted world becomes a playground for tectonic mixing, with techno, leftfield bass and trap functioning as one big breath of life. Humid Global South material gets carried at full weight, queasy melodies are set against direct machinic tracks, and stretches of sluggish heft arrive without warning. In any case, dance music’s everlasting trope – “play it if it’s good” – just might hold true here.

In a rather rapid rise, the young artist has already played festivals such as Norberg, Sõru Saund and The Dark Side of the Moon, as well as many club nights and spaces across the Big E. Now taking his focus to the Institute of Sonology in The Hague, Type1 is sure to keep people talking and moving.

Type1 plays before Skee Mask this Saturday. Tickets via the link in our bio.

I had the privilege of recording a podcast for one of my absolute favourite event series, @awkwardlysocialberlin.

After months of preparation and several different iterations, I landed on a 1h 20min mix that moves through a very wide range of tempos, moods, and interpretations of bass music — from swampy textures and dub influences to heavy, dirty low-end pressure, plus all the nooks and crannies in between.

As a whole, this mix feels like the best reflection of where I’m at DJ-wise right now, so I’m really happy to finally share it publicly.

SCORCHED EARTH INVITES SKEE MASK FOR ITS DEBUT CLUB NIGHT AT HALL ON THE 5TH OF SEPTEMBER

As fields burn, they grow back stranger. Scorched Earth is a new night for electronic music in Tallinn with a simple ethos: leave nothing of use behind and hold nothing in reserve. A club night burns once; what remains is ash and hearsay.

And for an event as such, there was no other way to open this series. For more than a decade Bryan Müller aka Skee Mask has run a scorched-earth campaign against the machinery every artist is told they need. Pulling catalogues from Spotify, keeping Instagram grids empty and refusing every profile until Resident Advisor finally got that sweet one and named him “the immovable object”. What survives the burn is the music, and the reverence for it borders on the religious. Four albums released on Ilian Tape with “Compro” alone sitting as close to canon as the underground allows.

Skee Mask’s production engages and recontextualizes the entire ‘90s continuum of breaks, dub and ambient techno without ever falling into a nostalgic temperament. Some might say that beyond one of the greatest producers of the modern era there lies an even greater DJ whose absurd range of dance music is played as a single language, committed entirely to the floor, without any unnecessary theatrics. So we’ve decided to let him set everything ablaze on the 5th of September at HALL.

After delivering one of Dreamscape Festival’s most eclectic live club sets — opening for µ-Ziq with a performance that cut across rhythm, texture, and warped melodic instinct — animaTek return for a Dreamscape-affiliated night at Kwia, this time pushing even further into the stranger edges of their sound.

The collaboration between Type1 and ÆcHi began in late 2024, bringing together Karl from Estonia and Friedel from Puerto Rico in a live project shaped by friction, intuition, and unstable electronics. Since then, they’ve appeared at Refuge Worldwide, IDA Radio, Dreamscape Festival, and beyond, developing a language that moves between club pressure and something more unruly.

For this Kwia set, animaTek step away from the dancefloor structures that have framed much of their live work so far, turning toward a performance built for close listening.

The set works with 31-EDO, a microtonal tuning system that divides the octave into 31 steps instead of the familiar twelve. The point isn’t novelty, but melody bent into unfamiliar emotional angles: tense, tender, crooked, and deliberate.

Rather than relying on fixed studio material, they’ll lean into real-time improvisation, letting the instruments interfere, misbehave, and redirect the music as it unfolds.

Expect sharp transient edges, tiny digital impacts, bubbling amphibian textures, and swamp-like bursts of sound that seem to arrive before they have fully taken shape. animaTek’s music feels like technology remembering it has a body: nervous, wet, precise, and not entirely obedient.

Ticket: 8–12€ / Sliding Scale
