Volleyball.
Not bad eh? A new sport for me, it was a pleasure. It’s a sport full of ups and downs, just as any other. But with a team like 2024/25 Catskill Boys Volleyball, it’ll always be a fun and amazing journey. This team showed the definition of a true family, people who will always be there for each other, anytime. This team faced adversity, hard fought games, and hard criticism, however in the words of Coach Tran, we never became “complacent.” We always worked, and thus we made it far. We didn’t achieve everything possible this year, but we never faced true disappointment. We are a family, we are brothers, who are joined by sisters who helped us out. With a team built on resilience and determination, we know what we can do, and we always give our all. We give 110% every time we touch a volleyball, as the coaches wished. Next year, we’re going for it all. We’re hungry for success. We’ve got a bright future, many new players joined this year, including myself, but we have many experienced teammates who are here to help guide us along the pathway to success.
Coaches: Tran, Jen, Emily, Owen
Thank you for taking time out of your long days to come to games and practices, always giving your best input to help us achieve our best output. Without all your jointed experience and knowledge, we may not have been able to do as much as we were able to. Thank you for always trying to shape us into better players everyday. I look forward to next year with (hopefully) all of you.

Teammates:
What a season. I’m so happy and proud to say that I joined a team like this. You guys are awesome. During our regional final, I had to step in. I was so nervous, I felt so unprepared. However, you all were welcoming and supportive of me, helped me settle in, and lowered the pressure. Although we didn’t get our final win, it felt as if it was a win to me. I realized how strong our team bond is, and how much of a family we truly are. Thank you for that. Throughout the season, we’ve all connected and bonded to a new level. It’s a great feeling to know that we’ve got each other. Next year we go for glory, we know what to do.

Wow. What a season. Although our season didn’t end as we wished, I don’t think I could have asked for a better rookie campaign. This team man, it was incredible. At one point in our season we were on a 9 game win streak, it was just lovely football if you ask me. Many thanks to the catskill community, the players, the fans, the coaches, the athletic directors and everyone who provided support for us throughout our season. Thank you to the graduating seniors, Josue, Justen, Anson, Collin and Riley. You all were true leaders to us, and I’m forever grateful for you all. Next year we will come back with hunger. We know what we are capable of and we hope to settle for nothing close to disappointment. Sophomore season comes to an end here, year one is finished.
