300 (2007)

That movie is terrible

So was Sparta

Sparta was a slave state

The only reason Sparta maintained

Its warrior culture

As a thing

Is because they rode upon the labor

Of their enslaved neighbors

The Helots as they were called

They will be missed

Sparta will not be

Not by me

Fun fact:

Sparta, the army, was finally defeated

Because as they were off fighting

Someone rode around from the back

And freed the slaves at home

Goodbye Sparta

😉

Troy (2004)

This movie ain't bad 👍

The Spartans are 👎

Achilles would be considered gay today 🏳️‍🌈

Based on modern standards 🤔

The whole reason he was so bereft 🕳️

At the loss of Patroclus 🥰

A lover's pain 😨

He could not contain 😰

The greatest warrior 🎯

Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii (1972)

The original film is great 😁

The director's cut is terrible
They jazzed it up unnecessarily
That was not an improvement 😡

The official soundtrack was
Only released this year
In 2025 🤔

It should have been sooner 🙄

Video CD 😶‍🌫️

It will be missed 🫣

The Wizard Of Oz (1939)
More thoughts and consideration

I can't say enough kind things
About this film

I read the original book
Years ago

I am grateful for the ideas
That the author put forth

But the movie
Totally and completely
Eclipses it 🌞🌕🌑

Speaking of The Dark Side Of The Moon
By Pink Floyd

They totally work together 🌈🔑

More on that sneaky little phenomenon

Later

Lover

The Shiny Red Matter Ball Edition

Spoiler 🛑

Most all the Vulcans died 🖖⚰️

Spock gets very emotional about the whole thing 😢

Uhura hooks him up to the positive emotions train 😉

Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home (1986)

This movie is considered to be
One of the fan faves

It's not bad ⚖️

I liked it more better when I was younger
And more I was joyous about things

It was fun and interesting

SAVE THE WHALES 🐋🐳

SAVE THE SHARKS TOO 🦈

I won't be reviewing
The next film in the series

It's pretty bad 😬

So was the hair 👶

Mostly 👽

Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan (1982)

This is the best Star Trek movie ever

Into Darkness was pale in comparison

Everything else is too

Including you 🫵

Just kidding 🤏

Some of you are cool 🤝

Just not all of you 🤔

Much like Star Trek films 😬

There is exactly one great film 👍👍

Several okay ones 👍

Quite a few that are bad or boring 👎🥱

A few are outright terrible 👎👎🤐

Not Star Trek 3: The Search For Spock 🧐🖖

I mostly liked that one 😉

Stay tuned for that 💫

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)

I don't have The Motion Picture on DVD

I have all the episodes

Shown here in two episodes per disc

I have the original 40 disc set

Not the condensed subsequent releases

The Motion Picture ain't bad

It's not great

Neither are most of the episodes

But admittedly

I have not watched them all

But I have watched enough

Star Trek, as a property...

Is better than Star Wars

Punch it, Chewy 💫

What a wookie 🥰
