31 years ago today, I was born.

Just a year ago, I was fighting to survive, struggling to hold onto hope. I was confused, lost, and it felt like my life was in flames. I was even on the verge of eviction, not knowing my next steps.
And honestly, it was like that for most of last year.

Even through all of that, I never stopped believing in God. It was difficult to hold onto that belief when everything around me looked like ruins.
But every moment — every tear, heartbreak, and triumph — brought me to where I am today.

I would have NEVER guessed God would have brought me this far. He completely transformed my life in a year’s time.

Since I was 18, you all have witnessed the journey.
You saw every move, plan, plot, scheme, win, and loss.

Through it all, I’ve been humbled, humanized, and refined.

I’ve learned identity must be rooted in God, not in man. My life isn’t about chasing titles, money, or accolades. It’s about chasing purpose, impact, and what God has called me to do.

True peace comes when you stop striving for attention and just move in your mission.

Here are some Bible verses that describe this season:
Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 60:22, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Romans 8:28, Matthew 23:12

I thought God was doing His “big one” before —
But what He’s doing now is beyond anything I ever imagined.

I can’t wait to share what’s been brewing behind the scenes — but only when the time is right.

For now, I’m grateful for every prayer, every ounce of belief, and every hard time that built me stronger.

People will always have opinions about your life, but your direction must come from God alone.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Built by Resilience. Driven by Purpose.

Thank you all for the love.

2024 year has been a YEAR, hasn’t it?

It most certainly has for me.

No way you could have told me on January 1 that the year I had this year would have turned out the way it has.

So many twists and turns, challenge after challenge, obstacle after obstacle, lost after lost.

Doubts, insecurities, demons, all of it came back and resurfaced within myself in ways I’ve never seen before until now.

Battled depression and anxiety.

Battled loss of self-esteem.

Lost confidence in myself multiple times.

Almost threw in the towel a few different times.

I questioned myself and my abilities in many ways this year.

You could say I took a lot of ”losses” this year, but, in the end, they are just lessons. When you go through pain and suffering, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world, and it doesn’t mean your life is over.

With the new year approaching, I’m still as hopeful, optimistic, and embracing of my goals and dreams as I ever was.

Many many thank yous to any and everyone who supported me, encouraged me, prayed for me, and thought of me.

I learned a lot about myself and how I want to live my life moving forward, and I will bring this into next year and beyond.

The most important of all of this is continually building my relationship with God.

It is a daily effort.

I am still very excited for 2025, and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

I don’t know what the next phase of my life will look like, but, I’m not questioning it nor will I try to comprehend it. I’m just letting it be what it is. Whatever it may be — Lord willing — I will dominate and be great at it.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Jeremiah 29:11.

My first time ever delivering a full fledged STEM curriculum for 500 kids!!

Pre-K to 5th grade.

Much love to PPES for bringing me out for 2 full days of hands on literacy and stem activities.

I showed the kids possibilities of what careers they can achieve in STEM, but also shared with them some of the challenges to come along the way and how you can’t let life break you down even when it gets hard.

The main message I wanted to drive home was to be resilient but also disciplined.

The hard part isn’t showing kids how to be successful, it’s preparing their minds mentally to withstand any and everything life can and will throw their way.

There was so much work done to pull this off over the course of these last few months and I did not do it alone.

Thank you to all of the teachers, staff, Dr. Norton and Dr. Johnson for all of your help and involvement pulling this all together.

I had so much fun!

So many kids asked me for selfies, hugs, and for my autograph. They made me feel famous even though I’m not.

My life’s mission is to help kids become great inside and outside the classroom!

Until next time!

I had so much teaching high schoolers Pre-Calc & Calc 1.

I haven’t done this type of math in over almost 11 years.

Since I was 18, I have dreamt of becoming a full-time speaker and entrepreneur traveling the country speaking. And while I believe I am a lot closer to that goal now than I was once was, having this time to teach and educate the next generation of scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and technologists have opened my eyes to something that was once not there.

I have worked with kids and students for a very long time in various environments and settings, but, not in a teaching setting such as this one.

Maybe — just maybe — you might have a future professor on your hands. Who knows where I’ll end up in life but this is definitely a path I am considering now!

Helping students work around academia and corporate life is something that I believe I can do very easily, and it’s nothing for me to pass down my knowledge & expertise to help someone else.

I wish my students the very best in life and I know they will become rockstars later down the line. I will miss you all and I hope to stay in touch over the years!

Thank you Bechtel, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME), University of Houston, Dr. Jerrod Henderson, & everyone else involved for all of your help!

It’s been a true pleasure and honor to share with underrepresented students seeking out STEM careers at the University of Southern California this morning!

Fun fact: When I first spoke at USC 7 years ago, I only had $100 to my name, and I had to Uber back and forth to the campus for a speaking engagement. At the time, I didn’t know how I’d eat for a few weeks because I was waiting on my next paycheck.

Now, seven years later, I was paid 4-figures to do an engagement at that same university.

It’s not about the money.

It’s about giving and offering as much value as possible, even when your personal life is on fire!

No one knew I only had $100 to my name, but, guess what? I still gave those students the best I had then and did the same exact thing now!

Tragedies happen to us all. Divorce, lack of finances, no car, debt, unexpected loss of friendships and family, relationship troubles, mental health issues, you name it! Success does not make you immune to life’s challenges and obstacles!

One thing I’ve learned is that quite frankly, life doesn’t care what you’re going through! You must still produce and put out great results irregardless of!

Great time sharing with 2nd & 3rd graders and doing my first ever read along of my book at Campbell Elementary today!

Today was a very significant day in my speaking career!

I have never, in the past 12 years I’ve been doing this work, until today been flown in specifically by a set of parents that sought me out and wanted me specifically to come to their child’s school to speak! You two know who you are. Thank you!!

I have been battling a myriad of emotions and life things lately but, hard pill to swallow, life doesn’t care about how we feel, it only cares about the results. Life is going to move and pass anyway.

I have been doing this work before any of you knew my name and who I was.

I never got into this work for fame, notoriety, or money.

So, if you, “want to be a speaker,” for THOSE reasons, I’d strongly advise you to choose another path.

I have only ever cared about TRULY impacting & influencing, and giving students tangible, real, raw, honest tips and strategies to win academically, professionally, and in life.

I can’t be this blessed by God and not put it back into the world.

That’s why I take my work and what I do so excruciatingly personally.

On Wednesday, I had the privilege and honor to share with the Baker Ripley Teen Science Cafe!

I spoke to freshmen students, and shared with them the ins and outs of my journey as an engineer to date, my life story, and how they too can achieve their own personal success and greatness.

I told them to have a true sense-of-selse, identity, purpose, and passion for their lives, their goals, their dreams, and those around them that they love and care about.

I told them how to succeed in high school, so college becomes a bit easier to navigate and deal with.

I told them how to achieve success in college and to set themselves up so that the 4-5-6 years they may spend earning their degree, they will be able to see a high ROI on their investment.

I told them how they can achieve success in the job market, and what attributes employers are looking for, regardless if they study engineering or not.

I made the takeaway of my message very clear.

I told them to chase purpose over chasing dollars and fame.

I told them to serve others at a high level with an in demand skill that society and the world needs, and then, they will see the worldly things we desire as humans (fame, notoriety, money, clout) as a by-product.

I told them not to put stock into chasing things that do not hold substantial weight, those things that are fleeting.

By chasing a purpose, you will get closer and closer to walking into your calling and assignment.

Your calling is NOT your job or career — it is something completely different.

I told them to discover that, the very reason why they were born, and use their gift to change the world.

I had an amazing and fun time with them, and I am here for them anytime they need me!

God is good!

Happy 30th Birthday to me!

Last year, I wrote in my iPhone notes that I was going to write a children’s STEM book.

Didn’t know when, or how, I just knew I was going to write one.

I wrote this note on Monday, May 15th 2023 @ 10:59 PM.

So, I decided over the last 11 months to give the world a gift on my birthday this year instead of asking for and / or receiving gifts this year!

And, by the grace of God, the book is finally WRITTEN & PUBLISHED!!!!!

I welcome you…my first ever book!!!

From Dreams to the Galaxy: A Journey of Resilience and Success!

I am so unbelievably proud of this work!

It was so excruciatingly hard writing it, editing it, proofreading it, figuring out illustrations, and so on!

But, I got it done!

No excuses!

I am the first person ever in my family to ever write a book!

And, best part is, in 30-60 days, I’ll have FULL royalties over my real life story — with additional distribution in major stores like Walmart / Barnes & Noble / Target / & more to follow!

Digital & Paperback available NOW on Amazon!

Digital: $7.99
Paperback: $14.99
Hardcopy: TBD**

God, PLEASE just continue using me for Your will, and Your purpose and calling for my life!

I was truly honored and humbled to have been able to share with 200 4th and 5th grade students and read to 3rd graders as their special guest reader in the library, at the Evelyn S Thompson Elementary School!

The students all made me feel famous.

I have never signed so many autographs in my life, lol.

I really appreciate the kind words, encouragement, hugs, love, support, and for wishing me good luck as I prepare to apply for the NASA Astronaut Class of 2028-2029, and believing I will get selected.

I will be back very soon!

God willing!
