Athletes — I bet no one warned you about how hard it is to chase your dream when you’re running on no time, no money, no energy, and no backup plan. Even if you’ve had some help along the way — from family, friends, or others — it’s still a tough road, and you still deserve to build something solid for your future beyond the competition floor. I’m a former elite Taekwondo athlete who spent years deep in the grind: 20+ hours a week training, 30+ hours working just to get by, looking after a home, a relationship, debt, and my mental health — all while trying to keep my Olympic dream alive. Being a self-funded athlete is tough. Even when you finally get a bit of funding, it’s never enough to stop the struggle. Most of the time, you can't/ shouldn't rely on the system, federation, or sport to carry you. You’re often stuck in survival mode, trying to figure out how to be a champ without burning out or going broke. This isn’t a hype or motovational channel. It’s real, honest, practical help from someone who’s been there — and is still figuring it out. I didn’t learn everything I needed to know in time to reach all my goals before I'd had enough. But now, my mission is clear: to help speed up the process for every athlete coming up behind me. You shouldn’t have to figure it all out the hard way, alone, or too late. Here, you’ll find clear, simple advice on: 1) How to make money online while you train and compete 2) Build your personal brand and get sponsorships 3) Handle the business side of your sport 4) Use marketing, business, and AI tools to work smarter, not harder 5) Time management, prioritisation, and how to look after #1. It’s not easy. It never will be. But at least here, you’ll get real guidance from someone who’s walked the same path — and is sharing the shortcuts I was never shown. You don’t have to choose between Taekwondo (or your sport) and your long-term future. You can do both. I’ll also be answering your questions in every video, so drop your challenges in the comments.
