A first glimpse into our new project; a fusion of musical hearts. North meets South, soaring from Oregon to El Cerro Paleta del Pintor en Jujuy, Argentina. Melancholy mingled with joy; a timeless story carried by the wind and whispered through the hills. Original song remixed Warmth from Aal, lyrics by Josefina del norte.

Un primer vistazo a nuestro nuevo proyecto: una fusión de corazones musicales. El Norte se encuentra con el Sur, elevándose desde Oregon hasta el Cerro Paleta del Pintor en Jujuy, Argentin. La melancolía se entrelaza con la alegría; una historia atemporal llevada por el viento y susurrada a través de los cerros.

Dear habibis & habibtis.

As the dog days of summer melt into the sepia-tinged glow of autumn, the winds of change bring new beginnings and old friends. A sweet goodbye to a summer well spent; sunkissed afternoons and barefoot dances fade away like footsteps in the sand. But despair not, friends, for the seeds we’ve sown are about to bear fruit. Deep in its lair the liger stirs, shaking off its summer slumber and roaring awake. Soon it will throw open the door once more, welcoming in the throngs of revelers and carrying us deep into the night.

Guiding us back in is none other than Just Emma. Head honchos of Underyourskin and Trippin Tigers, the Berlin-based duo have been leaving dancefloors smoldering around the world. Dark yet playful, captivating and melancholic: driving grooves, growly bass, chopped up melodies, fangs out. Masterful conductors of the afterhour, they come alive in those hazy, liminal moments when time bends and the night dissolves. They’ve been a constant source of inspiration for us over the years and we couldn’t be happier to have them back in Portland.

It’s been a minute since we’ve danced together in the Liger and we can’t wait to see you all again. 🖤

Opening the dance floor will be our very own co-founder Tyrus, after the exciting new Tarbouch Soundsystem kick off the night as we welcome the community into the living room. 🐪🐪

Temporal presents the second edition of Sonido: a night devoted to sonic exploration. Extended sets from our resident DJ’s will invite you to settle in to the flow of music, without rush or expectations. This party is a love letter to the collective spirit of late night dancefloors; to moments lost and found again.

No podría tener el corazón más lleno de alegría en este inmenso día otoñal lleno de sol en el cielo y en mi corazón cargado de eaperanzas por poder volver a viajar, a la vez de haber sembrado y cosechado tantos buenos amigos en este pais, puedo decir que el sistema es duro con los inmigrantes pero hay muchisimas personas que individual y colectivamente estan dispuestas a ayudar y a hacernos sentir en casa, amo a mis amigos. Mi compañero de amor Tyrus que tanto me ha ayudado en este proceso de regularizar mi situación en este pais para poder compartir una historia juntos. Y a mis amigos que todavia estan esperando una solución los abrazo y les digo que yo también he estado en sus zapatos y pase lo que pase no dejemos de sentir orgullo por lo que somos, nuestras raices, nuestra comida, incluso nuestro desorden, nuestra identidad, y todo lo que traemos dentro para ofrecer al mundo. Porque realmente creo de corazón que todos somos ciudadanos del mundo. Viva Latinoamérica!!!

I couldn’t have my heart fuller of joy on this immense autumn day, filled with sunshine in the sky and in my heart, overflowing with hope for being able to travel again. At the same time, I feel deeply grateful for having planted and harvested so many good friends in this country. I can say that the system is tough on immigrants, but there are countless people—individually and collectively—who are willing to help and make us feel at home. I love my friends.

To my partner in love, Tyrus, who has helped me so much through this process of regularizing my situation in this country so that we can share a story together—thank you.

And to my friends who are still waiting for a solution, I embrace you and want to say that I, too, have been in your shoes.
