If you watered a plant and its leaves still needed sunlight, you wouldn’t decide the water was useless.

You’d recognize that growing takes more than one kind of care.

Give yourself that same understanding.

The walk helped. The honest conversation mattered. Being kinder to yourself made a hard moment easier. Still struggling afterward doesn’t erase any of that.

Instead of asking, “Why am I not better yet?” try asking, “What else needs care?”

You can appreciate what’s good and be honest about what hurts. You can make progress and still need support.

You don’t have to pretend you’re thriving to deserve help growing. by @tyson.allred

Tell your friends you love them. by @tyson.allred

Sometimes, “You’re too sensitive” is something you hear so often that you stop questioning it.

You start questioning yourself instead.

Was I wrong to be hurt?
Why can’t I just let it go?
Why do I always feel so much?

But before you decide your feelings are the problem, consider what happened when you expressed them growing up.

If your tears were mocked, your hurt dismissed, or your honesty met with anger, you may have learned that being accepted meant keeping your emotions to yourself.

Those feelings didn’t disappear. You simply learned to carry them quietly.

And sometimes, that child becomes an adult who says “I’m fine” while struggling, apologizes before sharing something painful, or feels guilty for having needs at all.

That doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It may mean you learned to judge your feelings before you ever had the chance to understand them.

There can be so much good in your sensitivity. The way you notice someone getting quiet. The care you put into your words. The tenderness you offer when someone else is hurting.

You deserve to experience those parts of yourself without feeling ashamed of them.

Healing can mean learning to understand your emotions, express them safely, and choose how to respond without punishing yourself for feeling them.

You don’t have to become less feeling to become more secure.

Maybe you were never asking for too much.

Maybe you were a child asking for comfort from people who didn’t know how to give it.

And you deserve to stop apologizing for having needed it. by @tyson.allred

“I’m proud of you.”

How quickly do you answer, “I still have a long way to go”?

Maybe you learned early to point out your own mistakes before anyone else could. Now someone you love is telling you what you did right, and out of habit, you tell them what you did wrong.

Next time, take a breath and try, “Thank you. It means a lot to hear that from you.”

Some mornings you try on three shirts, settle on the first one, and walk out the door already feeling bad about yourself. It’s easy to carry that moment at the mirror into the rest of your day.

On mornings like that, try asking, “If my daughter felt this way about herself, what would I want her to hear?” Maybe it’s as simple as, “Honey, you can have a hard time liking what you see today. I still hope you get in the picture with us.”

You deserve to be in the picture, too. Even on the days you don’t feel confident. by @tyson.allred

If you pulled into the gym parking lot beside me right now, you might think showing up comes easy to me. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here thinking about how good it would feel to go home.

Maybe you’ve looked at someone a few steps ahead of you and wished you had their discipline. I wonder how many mornings they’ve sat in the car having this exact conversation with themselves.

Today my answer is, “I don’t feel like it, and I can still go in.”

I want to remember that the next time something feels hard. I’ve felt this way before. I know I can take the feeling with me and start anyway. by @tyson.allred

“If God is real, why do bad things keep happening to me?”

Sometimes that question comes from someone who has prayed, tried, and held on longer than anyone knows.

I don’t have an explanation for every heartbreak. And I won’t tell you that everything you’ve lost was something God needed to take from you.

But Jesus wept. He suffered. He asked why He had been forsaken. There is room in faith for the questions we’re afraid to say out loud.

Your pain isn’t proof that you’re being punished. Struggling doesn’t mean you failed at believing.

You can love God and still wish He had intervened. You can pray and still need someone to sit beside you while you cry.

Maybe today your prayer is simply, “I don’t understand, and I’m hurting. Please help me through this.”

Change your response; you change your life!!! by @tyson.allred

I’ve finished workouts feeling like I wasn’t making progress, forgetting I just lifted something that used to feel impossible.

I do that in life, too.

A conversation I finally have. A boundary I keep. A hard day that no longer convinces me I have a bad life.

I’m so busy noticing what still challenges me that I overlook what no longer stops me.

Maybe you haven’t been standing still, either. Maybe some of your progress has become so familiar that you’ve forgotten it was once a prayer. by @tyson.allred

I mean every inch counts. Right Logan? by @tyson.allred

We ask fathers what they do for work. We ask how the kids are doing. How often do we ask if they’re okay?

Dad, being needed by everyone can leave you feeling like there’s no room to need anything yourself.

There is room. For your exhaustion. Your worries. The things you haven’t figured out how to say.

You don’t have to wait until you’re falling apart to let someone help you.

Your mental health matters because YOU matter, beyond everything you do for everyone else. by @tyson.allred
