When Mike Tyson asks his son, @miguelliontyson , how he connected with Homeboy Industries, Miguel shares why the mission became personal. With both of his parents formerly incarcerated and several aunts and uncles who have experienced jail or prison, Miguel recognized his own family in the Homeboy community. He saw second chances, resilience and people he wanted to help.

Through the @tysonfoundation Miguel wanted to create something meaningful and lasting instead of simply throwing money at a problem. After seeing the need for a gym, they helped build a space that supports physical health, mental health, emotional healing and spiritual growth.

This was bigger than building a gym. It was about helping people get back on track and move toward what they want to do in life.

The @tysonfoundation and @homeboyindustries inaugurated a new space Thursday as part of an effort to provide a dedicated area for former gang members and people in recovery served by the Los Angeles program.

For many, Homeboy Industries has become a second home. The new space will provide opportunities for training and personal growth, as well as a place focused on physical and mental well-being. by @tysonfoundation

Tyson x URM Christmas 2025 🎄

A perfect way to end off the year. It was such an honor to be welcomed into Union Rescue Mission to bring some holiday joy to the families experiencing homelessness. So often the people on skid row, especially the children, go unnoticed. This Christmas we wanted to remind them that they’re loved. Now, what started as a simple idea, has turned into a community tradition that will happen every Christmas for years to come ❤️

Bringing Christmas to Skid Row 🎄❤️

When I found out how many kids live on the streets of LA, I wanted to find a way to bring some holiday magic to them. In just one week, with the help of all my incredible friends, we transformed Union Rescue Mission homeless shelter into a winter wonderland. We gifted hundreds of stockings, provided free haircuts, brought a live jazz band, and even Santa showed up.

Words can’t explain how it felt to see the hundreds of kids light up with joy. Even more incredible was seeing countless people from all walks of life coming together to bring some light into these children’s lives. This wouldn’t have been possible without the love and hard work of the community. It was a real Christmas miracle 🌟
