Life has really been crazy the past couple years. I really wish I recorded it. With everything thrown at me it’s crazy to believe I’m still collecting accolades like Pokémon. Year 2. Grief is strange. I literally never knew I could hurt like this. Since October 16, 2024, there hasn’t been a single day I haven’t thought about my mother, yet it still feels unreal somehow. But lately, I’ve felt closer to her than ever. Maybe it’s growth. Maybe it’s finally understanding her words, her sacrifices, her strength. Or maybe she truly is guiding every step I take.

Either way, she lives on… in my resilience, my heart, my ambition, and even my flaws. I am the best and worst parts of a phenomenal woman who loved her children deeply and taught us tenacity, love, and how to stand tall no matter what life looked like or who was against us. It’s so weird because I still feel like I’m just a baby, and I don’t have my mother.

I promise I’m not trying to put a damper on everyone’s weekend just sharing a bit of what I carry everyday, not just this Sunday.
