Ace, Izo, Whitebeard.

I don’t even know where to begin. It all started in late August of last year. A random black cat showed up on my property, obviously hungry. After a couple days of feeding her I could tell she needed help. Or at least that she was showing up here for a reason, other than food.

Fast forward a few weeks, I walk out to feed kitty and SURPRISE! Three more little furry beings, running around, bouncing off of each other, bouncing off of mom. I spent about an hour every day for almost 3 months sitting outside visiting them. I socialized them and got them settled in just in time for winter. I got mom trapped and fixed and would eventually go on to get the babies fixed in March.

I was able to rehome Ace, Izo, and Whitebeard on March 18th. I dropped them off at the vet for their spays and neuter that morning, and then off they went (all together!❤️) with their new mom, Joy. Joy was an awesome candidate for adopting the babies, especially since her living conditions were similar, if not better than mine. They will be spending their future years at a home in the country, able to come and go as they please through cat doors installed on her house, just as they were always able to be in or out at mine.

I am so proud of myself for doing right by these little ones. I am so proud of Moloch (momma cat) for being so good at her job. I am so thankful for Ms. Joy.

I still think about these little ones everyday. Those 7 months were such a blast every single day. Godspeed you three, I love you. 🖤 taken in Miami, Oklahoma by @tytheguy25

I rescued Bart off of the street behind my job on December 31st, 2022. I guessed that he was about a year old. He was, by far, the sweetest boy of my 4 boys. You’d never catch him picking on or bullying any other animal (besides the occasional unfortunate grasshopper perhaps). He spent a lot of his time trying to make friends with George, who is 16 and is the lowest on the “pecking order”.

Bart passed away today. His short life was full of love, cuddles, lap sitting, treats, kibble, and of course his outdoor enrichment time in the backyard. Bart will be dearly missed.

You will always be my Bart the Fart (who drives a Dart).
