What an Incredible Hebrew School Lesson
We learned about the story of Chava listening to tricky snake and eating from the tree. We explored the 2 voices we have in our head, the Yetzer Hora is the tricky snake voice that convinces us just to do sm a lil iffy but we choose to listed to the powerful Yetzer Tov, the neshoma voice that is a part of Hashem and always wants to to make the right choice. We airbrushed bags that reminded us to listen to our neshoma voice and played sneaky snake mitzvah race. What a hands on dramatic lesson with dressing up in a snake costume to reinact the story by @tzivikivman

Never judge a book by its cover or a bag till u know whats inside :)
I carry this huge bag from train station st Sommerville to inmam to Central Square and all thru town. What's inside? Abraham and Sarah costumes & materials to build a tent, costumes for the guests and ribbons to dance with. Bringing Torah to life is a real passion project of mine. by @tzivikivman

I did something new and hard
On Fridays I started taking a Yoga class. Lucky enough to have found a studio that is welcoming and kind and so far womens only at the noon class.
Its humbling to be bad at something, to have your legs shake when u try to balance on 1 leg to simplify and shorten every stretch and pose. I know I may look different, I work out in modest gear and I may not be so great at this. The other ladoes in the class all got it.
But, I am so proud of myself for trying. Bec u only get good at things when you try again and again. Open yourself to bring vulnerable ask for help and adjust.
I think of the long term benefit of strengthening my core, and becoming stronger and with my eyes on the goal I keep at it 2 weeks in a row.
I think of my wonderful local friends that try a new Jewish experience for the 1st time, they may stumble over the shema, mix up the challah braids, hold the prayer book backwards but the fact they keep coming and trying is so commendable and beautiful. We only get stronger at the things we practice.
So here is to a new year of trying new things, moving out of our comfort zone and stretching on the Yoga mat and in Yiddishkiet. by @tzivikivman

Tuesday's is my walk and roll day. I walk all over Somerville to Cambridge and then all thru town to teach my 6 classes Judaism through Drama. Then I walk home from the train.
At 1:23 my phone dinged, I got to 10k early today
Its been 2 weeks of 10k everyday and as the weather shifts and wind blows I hope I can continue to walk and roll everyday. by @tzivikivman

Progress and Motivation
Yesterday morning as I went to work, switched trains and walked around Cambridge taught and was on the way home and as I walked home from the train I was like a lil kid dragging her legs because she doesn't want to do her homework.
The work wasn't Math problems, it was 30 sticky bowls and 30 rolling pins soaking in my sink.
After and before every event me and RabbiYossi Kivman are a great team, setting up and breaking down chairs, sweeping, bringing things up and down from the basement. We did all that, food away etc but alas those bowls were still waiting. I came home put away my bag and grumbled at the waiting dishes.
Then I knew I had to recalibrate and motivate myself. I stepped back outside, walked to Fultons Pond and caught the middle of the day glorious rays of sun on my face. I breathed and became mindful of the beautiful trees shifting colors.
After 15 minutes of breathing in sun I skipped home and with Tzivi like motivation I put on music, and washed and dried all those dishes and even put them in the basement in an hour or so.
What shifted for me from making a task go from shleppy to peppey, was nature, pause breathing and my mindset shift. While sitting in the sun I reminded myself, how blessed by Hashem I was, and how beautiful reason why I had so many dishes. Most important, all about my why. Because, as Victor Frankel says if you have a Why, you can do any How.
Sometimes on Facebook you only see my product, the set table, perfect challah and my productivity. But, today I decided to share what fuels it, the mindset intention and journey of progress that is an important part.
So when your stuck in the details, the work, the day to day grind remember your why and talk to Hashem. by @tzivikivman
