It is no longer opinion but a known Fact that Noise pollution can inherently trigger psychological stress on a human mind and body and complete disrupt a persons patterns. Hermosa being one of the next neighborhoods to go through gentrification along with its neighboring locations Belmont Cragin and Avondale. We are seeing in real time once again NON FAMILY/LOCAL OWNED BUSINESS disrupt the communities and those that live in it . In this video posted months the managers claimed the noise stopped (once they heard they were being put on the news ) but there’s has been comments made again and even in person complaints that the noise is still on going…. taken in Hermosa, Chicago by @u.couture_

The consumer and producer relationship is one of the most toxic and hurtful aspects of all our lives and to our planet, I truly believe it was never supposed to get this out of hand,the endless cycle of supply and demand. Although I deal with textiles, even the things we actually digest & physically consume are harmful because so many things just aren’t regulated enough or In a lot of cases aren’t regulated at all. In second grade my art teacher introduced us to the world of recycling trash into art, we learned about an artist who made his sculptures entirely out of recycled trash, I remember I made a submarine out of a gallon of milk. To this day I still remember and it’s stuck with me, I’ve always been vigilant about our climate crisis and high school my AP environmental class cemented that in me. Premure & my projects are a culmination of both my interest in environmental science, Art, and fashion. I did not choose to start premure or open my website, the earth itself simply lead and pushed me in this direction. I am no radical nor a agonizer but simply a byproduct of the world around.
