Before there were ultrasounds…

there was faith.

Families waited.
Fathers wondered.
Mothers carried hope.
Brothers and sisters imagined.

There is something beautiful about keeping a little of yesterday alive.

In a world where every answer is available before the question is finished……….we chose to wait.

We and our children wanted to know the joy their grandparents once knew and experience that same wonder,
to gather together, hold their breath,
and receive God’s gift as generations before us had.

To spend months together imagining.
Debating names.
Making guesses.
Wondering who God was preparing for our family.

For nine months, our daughter remained Heaven’s little secret.

And in one unforgettable moment,
surrounded by the people who would love her most,
that secret became our greatest joy.

The greatest surprise our family has ever received.

Some moments are too beautiful to rush.
Some answers are worth waiting for.

We chose wonder over certainty,
faith over prediction, and God wrote the ending more beautifully than we ever could.

She became a reminder that not every mystery needs solving…
some are meant to be cherished.

To my beautiful daughter on your 12th birthday,

I pray you always see how incredible you are, even on the days you don’t feel it. You have a light in you that is strong, kind, and unstoppable, and I hope you never lose that fire.

You are growing into such a smart, compassionate, and confident young woman, and I’m so proud of the person you’re becoming. I pray you always know your worth, stand tall in who you are, and never settle for anything less than the amazing life you deserve.

There’s a saying that real love happens twice.
The first time, you fall for the beauty, the smile, the laugh, the way they light up every room they walk into.
But the second time is deeper. It’s when you’ve seen the heart, the sacrifices, the strength, the soft moments, the flaws, the scars, the way they carry so much and still love so deeply and you choose them even more.

That’s how I love you.

And one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me was allowing me to love you, to know you, and to do life beside you. You are more than beautiful, you are real, rare, nurturing, strong, and full of a kind of love that makes a home out of every place you touch.

Happy Valentine’s Day to the one who held me down before the wins, before the titles and after the losses. You believed in me when all I had was vision, faith, and a lot of unfinished plans. Now we in Spain eating meat older than our kids hahaha

Through every risk, every setback, and every late night grind, you’ve always held me down. You didn’t just walk beside me, you helped build the road.

They say a real one is rare, but I was blessed with my best friend, my partner, my peace, and my home all in one.

Happy birthday, Mommy
You’ve always been my rock. You gave us the world, even when yours felt like it was falling apart. Just because you carried it with grace didn’t mean the weight wasn’t heavy.

It’s taken me years and becoming a parent myself, to truly understand that. And even in a thousand lifetimes, I could never repay everything you’ve done for me. But the real lesson you taught me is that it’s not about paying it back, it’s about paying it forward.

Nothing I say, do, or buy will ever come close to the love I owe you, but seeing your smile and the light you bring to our lives makes it all worthwhile.

And just like that, 7 years have passed.

Seven years of growing, evolving, and building a life together. Of becoming not only partners and parents but best friends.

They say it is not happy people who are thankful, but it is thankful people who are happy and I am extremely thankful for you.

But it’s always been you.
From the moment I saw you, 7 years ago today…
I knew I wanted you in my life.
I knew I wanted you to be mine.
I just knew, even if I didn’t understand it at the moment.
It’s one of those things you feel.
