🛒 Reminder! The Community First Food Pantry🥫 is open Mondays & Thursdays at 384 Grand Street. This pantry has grown far beyond what we could have imagined since its beginnings as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic impacting Lower East Side communities. As we share a reminder of our pantry hours, we also want to take a moment to thank our online community for your continued support. Whether you've donated, volunteered, attended an event, or simply shared our mission to others, you have played a role in helping us serve thousands of New Yorkers every month. Youth Nutrition & Sushi-Making Class!🍣🍚🥢 Our hardworking SYEP youth took a break from pantry duties to enjoy a fun nutrition workshop! They learned about healthy eating, food safety, and tried making one of our favorite Asian-inspired dishes: Rice Paper Sushi 🍚🥬 (a lighter, gluten-free twist on traditional rolls). At UA3 we value both food security and nutrition education! Rooted in our Asian American community, we love sharing the healthy traditions of Asian cuisine with the next generation. ❤️💙 taken in UA3 by @ua3.now

It's about showing up and supporting our neighbors ☀️🤝 "Patience is a virtue." 🧘‍♂️ Our lines get long, but rest assured that every scheduled neighbor recieves their groceries! Homecrest Community Services was proud to partner with @ua3.now to host a special screening of Invisible Corps and a panel discussion highlighting the vital work of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Community members joined us to learn about the dedicated public health professionals who work behind the scenes to protect and improve the health of our nation. We were honored to welcome moderator Dr. Harlem Gunness and panelists Dr. Lucy Efobi and Young Zhou, who shared their experiences in public health, emergency response, and community service. Sharing some heartwarming moments from Confucius Plaza earlier today! 🍎🌸💙❤️ This event was a collaboration of neighbors and supporters, both big and small! We welcomed some of our close neighborhood organizations, including @nyphospital, @1199seiu, @pittabaione, the @ps130mpa school, and @canalberry. Our elected officials of the district showed up as well, @amgracelee and @repdangoldman support our work in the neighborhood and came to share words with residents. A special thank you to @verizon for supporting this event and sending volunteers to help distribute food and resources throughout the day. As UA3 President Don Hong shared, meaningful things can happen when non-profits, government, and businesses come together with a shared purpose.
