UAL Textile Design 3 Week Course | Summer 2026

3 weeks and plenty of skills to add to my tool belt — wow! These are the results of my textile design course @ualstudyabroad @csm_ba_textile_design and I could not be any more excited to share. While learning the fundamentals of screen printing, I also was able to experiment with various techniques including heat transfer, reactive dye, hand-dyeing, foiling, flocking, puff binding, repeat patterns, and so much more!

I call these select works — The Architecture of Textiles: Form & Flora.

It was such a privilege to take this course and I recommend to take it or a similar course to any of my fellow design peers. Thank you to Deborah Peasgood, my instructor, and to all of my classmates who took this course with me. I look forward to seeing how this helps evolve my design work in my final year of IARD at @uarkfayjones

Quick shoutout to @maharamstudio and @sarah_maharam for inspiring me to take this course, and thank you to @evoarkansas for bringing this opportunity to light.

And just like that, our @ualstudyabroad at @unioftheartslondon @lcflondon_ & @csm_news summer course has come to an end.
It was such a joy to see your work exhibited today at Central Saint Martins. The creativity, passion, and energy you brought to every class in the past weeks made this experience truly special. I feel incredibly lucky to have met you all. Thank you for the beautiful postcards and kind words.
What really stayed with me was that so many of you wrote (or told me) that you wanted to be me one day.
Well, the truth is that I want to be you, too.
Because you are just at the beginning of your journey. You have fresh ideas, endless curiosity, the courage to experiment, and the exciting privilege of not yet knowing where your creativity will take you. That possibility is something truly magical.
Keep asking questions, creating, taking risks. I can’t wait to see where your paths lead next.
