Welcome to University Recreation!

With three premier facilities—the Student Recreation Center, Witt Student Activity Center, and Aquatic Center—University Recreation (UREC) is more than a gym.

It’s where the UA community moves, connects, and thrives. UREC offers 1,900+ fitness classes annually, plus personal training, Pilates Reformer, a 35-foot climbing wall, and outdoor adventures. Students stay active through 45 club sports and 1,500+ intramural teams. Outdoor Rec provides gear rentals, Bama Bikes, and guided trips. With 350+ student employees, UREC is also a launchpad for leadership, professionalism, and career-ready skills.
