Meet Jake :

Architect • Worshipper • Drummer • Creative •

recently completed his third year of architectural studies at the University of Cape Town. His work reflects a curiosity about how design operates not only as form and function, but also as a language which is shaped by history, politics, culture, and belief. He is particularly interested in how drawings translate into built reality, and how detailing, material choice, and structure carry meaning.

His academic work explores diverse contexts, engaging with themes of land, memory, resistance, and identity. Jake’s creative process balances conceptual depth with pragmatic awareness. He values communication in architecture - between people, between past and present, and between the built and natural environment. His work seeks clarity without losing nuance, and structure without losing story. by @uarecreative

He’s a young creator who loves shaping sound and bringing ideas to life. I produce, write, play drums, the piano, bass and acoustic, and engineer music with intention—focusing on feel, clarity, and making people feel something.

He loves moving between creativity and precision, turning raw ideas into finished tracks. He sees his work as a gift and a way to honor God—using every beat, note, and lyric to create space for His presence and draw people closer to Him. “My goal is always to edify Him and encourage His people.”
