Alumni Spotlight: Meet @claraedevine✨
Clara graduated in May and is a Senior Analyst of Procurement at Walmart.

Problem-Solving in Action: By combining creative thinking with systems engineering, Clara leveraged internal AI tools to build a centralized contract management dashboard, cutting through hundreds of documents to streamline team-wide visibility and decision-making.

The INEG Edge: Analytical skills, project management principles, and root cause analysis learned in the program help her drive process improvements, reduce costs, and lead cross-functional initiatives every day.

INEG Faculty Spotlight! ✨
Dr. Eksioglu is the Jim M. and Marie G. Hefley Professor in Logistics and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Industrial Engineering. She is an IISE Fellow and nationally recognized expert in operations research, network optimization, and decision-making under uncertainty, with research applications spanning supply chains, energy systems, and healthcare.

Through her research, leadership, and commitment to mentoring the next generation of industrial engineers, Dr. Eksioglu has made significant contributions to the field.

Have you heard about Let's Talk?
Let's Talk is a @uarkcaps outreach program that offers students convenient access to brief, informal consultations with a mental health clinician.

What do you do? Show up and talk about what’s important to you.

Some possible reasons to see a Let’s Talk counselor:
- Academic struggles
- Anxiety and nervousness
- Feeling down/sad
- Financial anxieties
- Relationship and family issues
- Stress

Consultations are FREE, no appointment is necessary, and students are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All Let’s Talk consultations are confidential. Mental Health records will be taken in accordance with state and federal laws and privacy rights.

Let’s Talk consultations should not be used for emergency purposes. If you are having a mental health emergency, please call CAPS at 479-575-5276 to speak with an on-call clinician.

Designed for students, faculty, staff and the public, the Resource Fair will feature informational booths promoting community resources and information dedicated to inclusion and community participation. Disability service providers and agencies will be on hand to assist people with disabilities, their family members, and the public.

Meet Nikesh Kumar, a Ph.D. candidate and Graduate Assistant in the Department of Industrial Engineering! 🎓✨

Nikesh’s research focuses on reliability engineering, risk analysis, and data-driven decision-making for complex systems, including predictive modeling for pipeline safety and MARTEC-supported risk assessments for inland waterways. His work has earned him notable recognition, including the 2025 Doug Ogden Best Paper Award and a 2026 Graduate Research Award.

Beyond his research, Nikesh is dedicated to building community. As President of the INFORMS Student Chapter at the University of Arkansas for the 2026–2027 academic year, he helps organize seminars, professional development, and networking events for fellow students.

We are proud to have innovators and leaders like Nikesh driving excellence in our department!
