Thank you guys so much for coming out early to the market today and helping us be as efficient as possible. We are wheels up for a short trip to NYC for the cheese man's 40th birthday. 🚨ATTENTION YORKMONT (CHARLOTTE) FARMERS MARKET UAV CUSTOMERS 🚨

Here comes a post we never thought we would have to make. Unfortunately, as soon as this weekend, we will no longer be a vendor at the Charlotte Farmers Market. Last week after the market they dropped a letter on our tables that basically said all one-day vendors who aren’t farmers are no longer allowed indoors. They are bringing in larger installations (I’m sure you have seen them) because they pay rent weekly instead of just one day like us. They want to move us to the Greenery Shed but won’t guarantee us a spot on a weekly basis.

So for us, the uncertainty of making hundreds of pounds of perishable product without a guaranteed place to sell it, just can’t work.

It’s sad because we have been there for ten years and moved to building C about 7 years ago per market request to help build business in building C. Only to be “put out to pasture” so they can generate more revenue for the market with large out-of-state vendors. We are both stunned and saddened but we don’t really have any recourse. From what I understand the powers that be don’t see the value that a one-day vendor brings to building C, over a vendor who leaves their stuff there on a weekly basis. I think they think that people will come back on a weekly basis to non-traditional market items from out of state companies as opposed to the weekly customers that come to see us on a regular basis….but I digress. So moving forward for now, we will only be in Matthews for the time being. We are so sorry to give the bad news, but would be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to also say how grateful we are for all the years of support and love you have shown to our little cheese company at the Charlotte farmers market.

Hey guys, we had such a great response last week we are going to offer Bolognese kits again for tomorrow at Matthew’s Farmers Market! Kits include a pound of fresh pappardelle pasta, a quart of Zack’s homemade Bolognese sauce, along with UAV butter, ricotta, and Parmesan to finish. We initially said this serves 2-3 people but were told that it actually feeds several people. Guess it depends on how hungry you are! $25 (quantities extremely limited)

UPDATE: SOLD OUT! Thank you all so much for your support on some of these new launches!.

Hey UAV Fam, we are going to be featuring a couple special items this weekend at the @matthews_market !
.
.First, a pound of Black Truffle Ricotta Gnocchi. Decadently rich but light, crispy outside and soft pillowy inside. $12/lb feeds 2-3.
.
.
Next, we have Pappardelle Bolognese Kits. The kits include a pound of pasta, a quart of Zack’s homemade Bolognese sauce, plus UAV butter, ricotta, and Parmesan for finishing. Also feeds 2-3 comfortably. Since Zack would never say this himself, I (his loving wife) am here to tell you his Bolo could be the best thing he makes out of all the things. It is so incredible that it has become our family’s holiday meal tradition. $25.
