Thinking about presenting at this year’s conference but don’t know where to start? We got you 🫵🏻‼️

Abstracts play a vital role in the communication of research. This evidence-based workshop introduces two typical structures for abstracts, while accounting for differences in disciplines and purposes. Participants will write or revise an abstract during dedicated writing time, although having an abstract prepared is not required to attend 🧠📝

UBC’s Language Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference (LSURC) is an interdisciplinary language-focused research conference that was established through the partnership between UBC’s Speech and Linguistics Student Association (SALSA) and the UBC Language Sciences Initiative in 2017.

The goal of LSURC is to create an opportunity for undergraduate students to explore, through the work of their peers, language and communication research with an interdisciplinary perspective.
